(Tracklist below)

Thanks to our friends at Rephlektor Inkorporated we had special press access to Steve Angello’s performance last night at club Fur in D.C. Angello could not have phrased what the scene is any better than he did last night. He was merely a quarter-way through his raging set, when a fight broke out on the dancing area in front of the Dj booth at Fur Nightclub (http://www.furnightclub.com/) in Washington, D.C. Angello cut the music and told the kids who were fighting that “people are here for dance music, this isn’t a fight club.” After his statement, the entire club roared and clapped as Angello transitioned into his next track. The crowd did not just listen to Angello’s words they digested them and felt them. Although not everyone in the crowd knew each other, they had a common goal and that was to rage and dance like it was the fucking last night of their lives.

It is obvious that a movement is occurring whether you like it or not. It is up to every person to accept and embrace the movement’s existence and go along for the ride because if you miss out on this, its equivalent to missing out on The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Bob Dylan, and The Who. These artists defined a generation that was full of freedom, fun and getting fucked up to enjoy music for what it is, an outlet of expression.

Now, in 2011 audiences around the world are picking up on the rise of the newest defining artists of a generation and it is no coincidence that they are all Electronic Dance Musicians (EDM). Electronic Dance Music encompasses genres that range from pop to dubsteb to hardcore and to trance. They are taking the world by charge and there is literally nothing their way.

Steve Angello, a member of the Swedish House Mafia, was definitely shocked when his first show in Madison Square Garden, the third busiest music arena in the world behind United Kingdom’s The M.E.N Arena and The O2 Arena, was sold out in a matter of minutes. After attending this concert, I know why. He’s incredible and his drops are explosive. Together with Ingrosso and Axwell, New York and MSG will never be the same.

Welcome to the New Generation!

Welcome to the Movement!
