THE SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA AT MSG (REVIEW)

For those of you who attended Madison Square Garden last night, you are already aware of the fact the you witnessed what will go down as the greatest live performance in EDM history. From the Swedish Trio’s mind-blowing live mashups of songs like tung with feel so close, artists like Tinie Tempah performing live and their unbelievable buildups and drops in the sold out arena, Madison Square was on fucking fire. At one point  the garden was so wild Axwell had to ask everyone to sit down until the base dropped. MSG was a once in a life time experience and no matter who follows they will never be able to achieve what these Swedish composers did on the night of December 16th. The fire works, light shows, and confetti only added to the musically erotic atmosphere, where not one person was in their seats. Surprisingly The Garden did an excellent job with the coordination of the stage and effects. This event could not have been better, the crowd was begging for more and more. Not to mention the fact that A-Track did an unbelievable job of warming up the crowd for SHM to blow the fucking roof off of it. To understand why this was such an important and memorable event one must look into the history of Madison Square Garden. Artists such as The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and many more; are all very special people who defined a generation and who will never be forgotten. And now we can add The Swedish Mafia to that list. EDM can no longer be looked at as a fad. When a concert sells out in less than 10 minutes, is hosted at the most famous arena in the world, and has an after party which lasts until 8 in the morning, there is no questioning the growth and amazing strides the genre has taken. If for some reason you have yet to hear and watch the set, please take some time out of your day to download it and do so, because one day you will be telling your little grandchildren stories and believe it or not you will look back and say wow. I was alive when the Swedish House Mafia performed at Madison Square Garden. ENJOY.
