As much as we all all love how “PLUR” raves can be, sometimes you just wanna get dolled up and mingle with beautiful people, while listening to an amazing DJ set. So that’s exactly what I did this past Friday at Finale, the stunning, exclusive new house music club located on 199 Bowery. This collaboration between EMM Group and Pacha NYC only means that you should expect the best of the best: A beautiful venue, upscale crowd, and only the best DJ/producers.

Tonight we have the pleasure of listening to the very talented scottish DJ/Producer Chris Lake. After the room quickly filled up with the expected crowd of beautiful ravers, he began his set somewhere around 1:30. Being a massive deadmau5 fan, I was super psyched that he opened with a remix of Fn Pig, and soon after also played Channel 42, another new deadmau5 track off of “Insert Album Title Here” featuring Wolfgang Gartner. His set was the perfect mix of light, fun vocals and darker beats. For example, the mix he played of Mitiska and Medina’s “After Hours Ensemble” was lovely. But then had the crowd jumping with Plastik Funk and Tujamo’s banger “Who”. The crowd went particularly crazy when he played some of his latest vocal hits, notably “Stand Alone” and “Sundown”.

The entire club was going off; LED screens flashing all over the entire club, smoke machines & sirens, and champagne & sparkler parades heading to the VIP tables. We had a lot of fun and hope he comes back to play for us soon! Maybe next time he will play some old school tracks like “Carry Me Away” and “Aqualight”… We’ll be waiting!

Born and raised in NYC, but my heart is in Ibiza. A veteran nightlife promotress turned socialite. Due to my love of music, you can find me dwelling anywhere from the most beautiful exclusive upscale clubs to dirty dingy warehouse raves. I’m a full time pharmacist and a full time raver. I love to travel, and especially check out the best music, parties, and festivals all over the world. My absolute favorite artists include Deadmau5, and Pete Tong, but that doesn’t mean my style is limited to that. Catch me at a nightclub and ill be rocking out to artists like Zedd or Armin Van Buuren. But if you spot me walking down the street or bumming out at home it’s most likely I’m listening to some tech or deep house to the likes of Joris Voorn and Dusky. I love that the music & nightlife scene is ever-changing, I look forward to what it brings, and to sharing it with you all!
