Pete Tong & Skream present: All Gone Miami 2013 [News]

All-Gone-Pete-Tong-Skream-Miami-2013

You’ve all heard his name before, and now it is time to further develop your knowledge about dance music legend, Pete Tong. While he is best known for hosting the weekly “Essential Mix” on BBC Radio 1, Tong also has a residence in Ibiza on Friday nights with his event  “All Gone Pete Tong”. In each of the past two years, he has paired up with a veteran DJ (Felix Da Housecat in 2011, Groove Armada in 2012) to deliver an “All Gone Pete Tong” album. Today, we have happily received the news via Twitter from Pete that Skream will be his partner this time around. The two producers are each releasing a disc, which will combine for 41 exclusive tracks. Skream was a catalyst for the dubstep movement back in 2006 when he released his first album “Skream!”, and is a part of the supergroup Magnetic Man. Lately, Skream has entered into the genres of disco, house, and techno, and displays this change in his CD mix. You can peep the rest of tracklist below. The album is due to release on March 18th via In The House, a sublabel of Defected Records.

The newly revamped Marquee NY has already established itself as one of the go to venues on Wednesday nights and the weekend. Tomorrow night they will be graced with the likes of Tiesto and a few weeks back I was lucky enough to catch the superstar Frenchman known as David Guetta. David has always been that DJ that a majority of fans here in the U.S. will consider a mainstream pop like figure. Although you can’t deny that many of his sets include the likes of common EDM anthems, one must u understand that this is what David Guetta does best. His fans adore him for it and are always raging despite the constant stating that he is a sellout by most house music snobs. As long as EDM pours into the mainstream like it did this past year, David’s popularity will continue to rise around the world and he should be given credit for how he markets his vision for EDM.

Thought-As-MuchCelsius is back with their latest EP coming off of Moda, entitled “Thought As Much”. The EP consists of two upbeat tracks “Thought as Much” and “Relax Your Mind” that really possess a bumping groove to them. A little on the deep side but definitely club, and lounge worthy singles. Really loving this EP, let me know what you think.
