Blawan – Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage (Skrillex Remix) [Preview]
For those of you who are surprised by Skrillex’s recent transition into a new musical territory, you clearly havn’t been paying him close enough attention. For the past few months Sonny has been working alongside producer Alex Ridha A.K.A. Boys Noize, and his fellow european producers. Not only have they influenced the LA born Sonny Moore, but completely altered his entire musical production, and composition. Since teaming up with the German producer Boys Noize, Skrill has begun experimenting with slightly more melodic strains of sound, and playing different tempoed music at small gigs and performances. His last EP entitled “Leaving” reflected his desire to test the waters of a new musical genre, but was slightly overlooked by his fan base, until his essential mix which aired last Friday on BBC Radio 1. Sonny’s two hour long mix had listeners and fans in shock and awe. The newage pioneer of dubstep has opened his ears to a novel style of music, and reshaped his production techniques to adapt to it. This remix to UK techno producer, Blawan’s “Why The Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage” was aired on Friday durring Sonny’s essential mix, and has prompted a number of reactions. Stay tuned for more information on the release of this remix.

Frank Ocean – Lost (Amine Edge and Dance Remix) [Release]
R and B sensation, Frank Ocean has received some attention from French deep house duo, Amine Edge and Dance who have applied their production talents to his track “Lost”. The duo’s remix adds an electronic element the song was lacking prior, with a bunch of synths and deep house chords that give the track an edgy vibe. Popular for their 2012 hit “Going To Heaven With The Goodie-Goodies” Amine and Dance seemed to have advanced their production skills from the sound of this remix. Keep an eye out for these guys.

Pharrell has been the talk of the music industry these past few months with his work on “Random Access Memories” and upcoming collaboration on Jay-Z’s upcoming album”Magna Carta Holly Grail”. Before his complete stardom, Pharrell showcased his aptitude as a producer, and a talented one at that. This rework of Woodkid’s popular track “I Love You” signifies Pharrell’s ability to set aside his hype, and socialite status and produce noteworthy music. This remix offers a more acoustic setting than the first and a slightly different tempo aswel.

Steve Aoki, Chris Lake & Tujamo – Boneless (Unreleased) [Preview]
Aoki first premiered this hard banger on both weekends of UMF 2013 as the opener to his sets. Despite the generic sets he delivered that weekend, this track titled “Boneless” was one that got stuck in my head and has been ringing ever since. Finally it has been confirmed to be a collabo with Chris Lake & Tujamo and we simply can’t get enough. Sounds like it could be a WHO 2.0 from Tujamo. No word yet on the release but stay tuned for it sometime this month via Dim Mak.

Skrillex Collaborates With NYC Clothing Brand Mishka [News]
This past Friday Owlsa announced a collaboration between Skrillex and NYC clothing company, Mishka, via Skrillex’s website. Their collaboration consists of a handful of pieces consisting of Sonny’s logo and can be found here. Mishka recently confirmed that the song being played on the site is in fact a production by Skrill entitled “DOOMPY POOMP”. The nearly 5 minute long song consists of a compilation of odd noises and sounds but changes tempo at around 2 minutes. One of the weirder productions we’ve ever heard from Skrillex, and thats saying something.

Loco Dice and Defected team up for a two disc ‘In The House’ Compilation [News]
Loco Dice has confirmed his collaboration with Defected Records to release a two-disc “In The House” compliation mix series. Tracks included will be from the likes of producers such as Kyle Hall, Diplo, and of course Loco Dice himself. Dice explains how the surprising idea to team up with Defected came about by giving details of an exchange he had with Simon Dunmore, the face of the highly acclaimed record label.
initially it wasn’t about business, just music. Eventually he asked me if I could do something for Defected, with as much freedom as I needed. For me it’s a great opportunity, and I always take compilations so seriously, as seriously as I would an album. I’m so happy with the results
This news is certainly a wonderful way to kick-off his longstanding, summer residency in Ibiza which has just started this week. The mix series, officially titled, “Loco Dice In The House”, will be available worldwide via Defected on July 21st. Peep the teaser and track list after the break below.

The Quack Is Back [News]
After about a one year hiatus, Duck Sauce is back with some big buzz surrounding their name. They have very recently previewed their new tune “Quack Is Back” (in the form of a loop), and schedule to release the track on June 25th. The American duo consisting of A-Track and Armand van Helden already have plans to perform in the U.S. this summer as they announced at the end of April they will be playing at Hard Summer festival in Los Angeles during the first weekend in August. The last time Duck Sauce was on a famed festival stage was last year’s Governor’s Ball, shortly after their Main Stage appearance in Miami at Ultra Music Festival. It’s truly a pleasure to see the boys have been back in the studio together, as they have left us wanting more since their last release in “Big Bad Wolf.” This is only a sign of good things to come, so let’s hope to hear even more Duck Sauce as the festival season is now in full swing. To listen to a loop of “Quack Is Back”, check it out on their website here.

Afrojack – ‘It’s A Matter Of…’ (EP) [Preview]
Nick Van De Wall has been making all kinds of headlines lately, from totaling Ferraris to producing albums for people like Paris Hilton it seems like Afrojack just can’t keep himself out of the headlines these days. Despite the creation of his recent alternative house moniker “Far Far Away” the man has clearly lost his artists edge, and succumb to the mainstream limelight. Afro recently uploaded these three tracks to his soundcloud as an EP entitled ’It’s A Matter Of…’. The EP is comprised of 3 tracks we’ve heard him play countless times throughout the past couple of years. If he keeps this up it seems like it’s only a matter of time…. till Afro is old news. Stay tuned for news on release dates.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Axwell – ROAR [Release]
It seems like Axwell and Ingrosso have more in common than the other third of the former Swedish House Mafia in Steve Angello as they team up to deliver “Roar” a new collabo which was first premiered in the ‘Monsters University’ trailer and soundtrack. “Roar” is now available for purchase via iTunes including remixes from Style of Eye and Yogi. This is only the start of big things to come for these two as they have already booked their Ushuaia residency dubbed “Departures.” My favorite remix goes to Yogi who delivers a heavy banger to compliment two thirds of the former SHM’s new track. The original just feels like something is missing without Steve. Let us know what you think of this new collabo and enjoy.

RL Grime – Shells / Pockets (Previews)
Not to sound redundant, but RL is absolutely murdering the game with his recent work. These are two unreleased tracks played during a few of his most recent sets, including his performance at Tryst LV earlier this week, are absolute bangers! The first track is entitled “Shells” and is an absolute smash by Grime, with a bit more of a house feel to it, slightly different from his typical tracks but none the less extremely fresh. The second is a trap single, entitled “Pockets” and resembles RL’s signature style slightly more. No information on their release dates has surfaced as of yet so make sure to check back for updates.

RL Grime – Tryst Nightclub Set (05.25.13) [Mix]
Henry Steinway aka RL Grime put on quite the performance earlier this week at Las Vegas nightclub “Tryst”. The talented trap producer who doubles as an electro aficionado under his “Clockwork” moniker has been in extremely high demand these past few months. His music has been coming to us in small doses as of recently but this two hour long mix filled with nothing but grimy trap bangers should remedy that!
