duck-sauce-skrillex

With the release of Duck Sauce’s long awaited album “Quack” just around the corner, Skrill, Kill The Noise, Milo & Otis teamed up to remix NRG, an upcoming single from their forthcoming album. Despite the melodic disco intro to the track, the remix quickly unfolds to reveal a bumping house beat that accentuates all contributing artist’s sounds into one big banger. Quack is expected to be released sometime in April and we couldn’t be more thrilled for some more Duck Sauce. Stay tuned!

The M Machine – Superflat [Release]

8848838

If you want to hear something new, fresh, and creative, it is time you check out The M Machine. A trio hailing from San Francisco, Andy, Eric and Swardy are on a mission to inspire dance music around the globe, and they are certainly succeeding. Known for their vastly interesting visuals and intriguing sound, these guys have once again impressed us with ‘Supertab’. Starting out slow with a soothing voice, the tune only rises to newer levels, followed by an even more elevated repeat for the second half of the song. This jam will have you all over the place, as you will find your body experiencing different types of emotions and movements throughout. If you are yet to see these west coast natives live, then you need to change that fact as soon as possible. This hit has been released via Skrillex’s OWSLA, and is available for purchase on BeatPort.

Cheb i Sabbah – Alkher Illa Doffor (Bassnectar Remix) [Release]

282373_10151001955159301_91552242_n

Bassnectar is one of those special artists who has more of an open mind and cultural aspect to his music as opposed to most producers today. His latest remix is a dedicated to Cheb i Sabbah, a musical pioneer who recently passed away. Lorin is giving away this track for a small donation that will be going directly to Cheb’s remaining family who was dependent on his career as a means of getting by. This remix showcases Bassnectar’s diversity as he turns this track into a high energy dub mix. Let us know what you think of his latest work and don’t forget to donate to get ahold of this massive remix to ‘Alkher Illa Doffor.”

Flux Pavilion – Freeway EP [Release]

artworks-000062461252-wnei2a-t500x500

Joshua Steele AKA Flux Pavilion has always been apart of dubstep’s avant-garde as he always strives to put out unique and energetic material. The UK legend is back in full force with his brand new EP titld ‘Freeway’. The album kicks off with a fresh collabo featuring Steve Aoki in ‘Steve French’ as they dish out those electro wobbles. The next big collaboration on the album comes with fan favorite Dillon Francis in ‘I’m The One’. This banger is slowly but sure taking over festivals as the two blow up their respective genres with more heavy moombah and dub. ‘Gold Love’ is filled with emotion emulated by the beautiful vocals by Rosie Oddie. ‘Mountains and Molehills’ along with ‘Freeway’ provide a slower pace showing Flux’s diversity. He premiered ‘Freeway’ as the last track in his Electric Zoo 2013 set here in New York and we finally have his finished masterpiece. This album is now available for purchase via iTunes and be sure to catch Flux on his remaining Freeway tour dates in a city near you.

If asked to name the elite producers in dubstep today, Doctor P and Datsik are names that come right off the bat. There is no telling how pumped we were to learn that Datsik will be releasing his own take on Doctor P’s newest single feat. Method Man titled ‘The Pit’. Troy’s remix is one of many but no doubt the filthiest of all as he continues to master his signature heavy hitting sound. Datsik never fails to disappoint and were ecstatic for the October 28th release as it is now available for preorder on iTunes via Circus Records. Stay tuned!

Feed Me – Calamari Tuesday [Album Release]

Feed-Me-Calamari-Tuesday-artwork

Feed Me had shocked the dance music community when he announced that he would be going on a DJ hiatus. Nevertheless we knew the benefit go towards Jon spending more time in the studio working on his first ever LP. ‘Calamari Tuesday’ is nothing short of a masterpiece and it is incredible to see how well Feed Me has progressed as a producer over the past couple of years. His sense of sound is more mature than a handful of artists in the game today and he has Calamari Tuesday to show for it.

Notable tracks on the album include Rat Trap, Death by Robot, Lonely Mountain, In The Bin and No Grip. Feed Me goes through a flurry of different genres mixing dub with funk, rock, and dark electro. The interludes and wobbles showcase Jon’s signature with a fresh new take. “Love Is All I Got” is another top-tier tune from the album. The popular track with the Crystal Fighters is bound to have this album on the rise in music charts worldwide. Be sure to grab Calamari Tuesday via iTunes on Sotto Voce and enjoy the mind of a genius in Jon Gooch aka Feed Me.

Skrillex & Alvin Risk – Try It Out (TRY HARDER + NEON MIX)

skrillex-alviv

The OWSLA natives and dubstep heavyweights known as Skrillex and Alvin Risk put their skills to test with the latest collaboration in ‘Try It Out’. Coming of the Neon Mix, the two go even crazier on this TRY HARDER mix as they bring the filth with this re-work reminding us of the kind of productions we would hear from the two back in the day. We anticipate a big year coming for Sonny as he continues to dish out new fresh tunes, not to mention his upcoming tour. If this collabo is any indication of things to come for Skrillex, us fans are in for a treat. Enjoy!

Chase & Status – International (Skrillex Remix) [Preview]

skrillex

The king of dubstep, Skrillex has returned to his thrown with a BANG! His latest remix to Chase & Status’s “Interational” was recently premiered on BBC’s radio 1. This dubstep masterpiece is a signature Skrillex track with just the right amount of moombah to give it some extra funk. As Sonny presents a novel dubstep remix, the question as to whether he is back to dubstep for good or merely vacationing from the genre plagues his fan base. As the genre has declined in popularity throughout the past year, Skrillex has distanced himself little by little. By formulating the serious musical duo “Dog Blood” with producer Alex Ridha A.K.A. Boys Noize, and producing a number of unique electronic tracks fans were concerned Sonny may never return to where he started. However this signature Skrill dub remix has people questioning it’s degree of seriousness. I guess we will have to stick around and see what’s to come from the american born musical pioneer. Check back for a release date!

Showtek feat. We Are Loud! & Sonny Wilson – Booyah [Release]

Showtek-booyah

The Janssen brothers strike again along with We Are Loud! and Sonny Wilson to bring us “Booyah” via Spinnin’ Records. Showtek virtually took over 2013 with such bangers as: “Cannonball,” ”Hey!,” “Crunk,” “Slowdown,” and “Get Loose.” Like “Get Loose,” “Booyah” dances on the threshold of dubstep with it’s deranged horns, robotic glitches, and hard style drop that is becoming Showtek’s signature sound. “Booyah” was made to devastate crowds and cause absolute mayhem when played. Showtek’s success has landed them a spot on the Main Stage (West) of Electric Zoo, and are must sees. Make sure to keep “Rocking it like this,” and snag your copy over at BeatPort today.

Phuture Doom – Han Breaks (Original Mix) [Preview]

artworks-000052754082-fqigqy-t500x500

Up and coming Owsla artists, Phuture Doom recently released their break out production “Burn The Knowledge” along with a quite disturbing, yet awesome music video, and are back with more. Their unique sound is referred to as “Black Acid” a fast paced, ominously toned, mix of dubstep and heavy metal. Hailing from one of the birthplaces of house, Detroit, Michigan Phuture Doom packs quite the punch with it’s heavy, signature sound. In addition to their extremely differentiated brand of music, the duo refuses to release any information or pictures of themselves. The mysterious catch to this duo seems to be somewhat of a marketing ploy but sets them aside from other house music producers. Their latest track entitled “Han Breaks” perfectly defines their signature sound, and will be released on their upcoming EP “Nightfall” via Owsla on July 23rd.
