Zeds Dead – Hot Sauce EP [Release]

Zeds Dead has come a long way the past few years and their hard work has finally paid off. The new “Hot Sauce EP” is jam packed with heavy hitting bangers.
“From the opener, “Demons”, a nightmare inducing track with heavy, pulsating synths as well as keys and strings plucked straight from classic horror films to “Mr. Sub”, which displays a more minimalist approach from the duo with a bouncing bass and touches of space-disco synths and “Rave” a breakbeat monster that hits so fast they put in an audible breaths to remind listeners to take one themselves. This no hold barred approach to electronic music has posed Zeds Dead as one to keepan eye on in the year ahead.”
Make sure to listen to every one of these tunes and grab the Hot Sauce EP album on iTunes. Enjoy!

Feed Me – Death By Robot EP [Release]
In today’s day and age, original productions are lacking the creativity and allure that made EDM grow as big as it is today. Feed Me is one of the few artist in the game that is constantly testing new boundries with his signature glitchy synths and powerful chords. His last release “Love is All I Got” was a testemant to how diverse he can be despite popular belief that drum & bass artists can’t seem to step outside of their comfort zone. With his new EP titled “Death By Robot,” Jon goes back to his roots and delivers some fresh new dubstep. Grab it on iTunes or Beatport today via Mau5trap.

Stay tuned for the EP’s full release!

Artist Spotlight: GTA

“GTA” is a Miami based production duo consisting of Matthew Van Toth (Van Toth) and Julio Mejia (JWLS). While Van Toth brings the techno aspect to the duo’s productions, JWLS has the hip hop/trap influence on their tracks. These two put together have really been putting out some heavy hitting bangers and are looking to have a massive year in 2013. Here are a few of my favorite tunes from GTA and I simply cannot wait to see them live this Saturday night at Webster Hall as they are set to spin along side Dillon Francis. Let me know what you think and be sure to stay tuned for more from GTA.

DJ Shadow – All Basses Covered (The Infamous South Beach Set, December 2012)

In mid December, DJ Shadow was booted from his set at Mansion club in Miami because the club believed the music was too “futuristic.” After word got around and people began to bash the club with social meda, they issued a formal apology to DJ Shadow and that was that. Ever since, people have been wondering what could he possibly have played that would be good enough reason to be kicked off the decks. Now the legendary Hip-Hop/Electronic DJ has released his set with a free download titled “All Basses Covered” from the night filled with some massive hip hop, dub, trap, and techno. Let me know if you think it was warranted to have him kicked off the decks of the popular club.

Artist Spotlight: KNIFE PARTY

After the explosion of Skrillex, the world of EDM has finally began to accept dubstep artists as legit players in the world of producing. Almost out of no were come the duo we now know as “Knife Party.” For those of you unaware, Knife Party actually consists of 2 members from Pendulum: Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen are most famous for their collabo with Swedish House to the hit single “Antidote,” but I am sure that even they didn’t anticipate how big they would grow in the eyes of electro/dub fans. Their recent EP “100% No Modern Talking” was one of the most downloaded free releases of this past year including some amazing tracks such as Internet Friends, Destroy Them With Lazers, and Fire Hive. I may be going out 0n a limb here but if this duo continues to put out the quality of tracks that they have been releasing, they will be one of the top producers in their genre right next to Skrillex. What started out as a side project for Rob and Gareth could end up making them famous for a while. Here are some of my favorite Knife Party tracks that you may not have heard, and be sure to check back in with us for any new Knife Party release. ENJOY!!!

Unison (Knife Party Remix) - Porter Robinson
