AN21 & Max Vangeli feat. Bnann – Glow (Promise Land vs. AN21 & Max Vangeli Remix) [Preview]
Previously hearing this played by AN21 at Pacha NYC in February, and again by the duo at Steve Angello’s Size Matters pool party during WMC, we have been waiting for the official preview to this fresh remix. As one of the more popular songs off of AN21 & Max Vangeli’s “People Of The Night” album, “Glow” has now been remixed by the creators of the track themselves with some help from another duo, Promise Land. Keeping the moving vocals in tact, and a bigger build-up followed by an elevated drop, gives this track a crisp look. The track will be released via SIZE Records on May 27th. Enjoy this rip from BBC Radio 1′s Danny Howard, and check back with us for the release!

Jeff Doubleu AKA Skitzofrenix has just released his track “Clap” via Hardwell’s Revealed Records. Hardwell gave the world a preview to this eccentric track during his set at Ultra and received a massive reaction from the raging crowd. This Dutch youngster is looking to make a name for himself with “Clap” by, starting this banger off with a cosmic – deformed build up that drops into an unwieldy bass-line. Avicii ft Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up [Preview]
Since UMF 2013, Avicii has been showcasing the new tracks in his album which have that sort of “country house” flow. We got to hear a ton of new, odd yet fresh material in his 2013 promo mix. This HQ Rip features a collabo with Avicii and Aloe Blacc. I personally love the new direction Avicii is heading in and am highly anticipating his new album. Knife Party – Haunted House (EP) [Release]
As per usual Knife Party made quite the statement during Ultra 15 with some of their newest heart-stopping bangers. The electro duo has confirmed the release of their newest EP “Haunted House” sometime in the middle of this month, as well as the 4 tracks that will be released on it. “Power Glove” the opening track of Knife Party’s UMF 2013 set, is a signature KP track, with a lot more bass and slightly more ominous then their typical tracks. The second track on their upcoming EP is entitled “LRAD” a single you would never expect from the former Pendulum members, as the song simply doesn’t fit their production style, but nonetheless an absolute BANGER. The 3rd track is a VIP remix to their notorious “Internet Friends”, at one point it was speculated that the duo’s single “Baghdad” would be replacing it. Baghdad has yet to be officially previewed, but has been played in live sets by Knife Party, and is slightly more fast paced than their other original tracks. The same can be said for the fourth and final track on the “Haunted House” EP is called “EDM Death Machine”. It is a funky electro track with some Knife Party spunk, and a similarly humorous lyrics to that of Internet friends.

Sebjak & Marcus Schossow – Liceu (Original Mix) [Release]
This uniquely tailored percussion beat is that of artists Marcus Schossow and Sebjak, called “Liceu”. This new collaboration is a masterpiece comparable to AN21 & Steve Angello’s “Valodja”. The combination of numerous instruments and synthesizers comes together perfectly on the recently developed size track. Ever since the break up of Swedish House Mafia, it seems like Angello’s Size Records has boosted in terms of both quality and quantity of their released productions. Catch “Liceu” on BeatPort and be sure to turn up your speakers for this jam.

Avicii – Promo Mix 2013
Fresh off a UMF main stage performance that stunned many, Avicii has released his “Promo Mix” for 2013. The night before Weekend 2 of the festival kicked off, the young Swede said he would be featuring some of his new tracks, and boy, was this a version of Avicii we were yet to see. Whether people would appreciate this new style or not, was a high-risk/high-reward situation for Tim. After hearing all of the mixed reviews, you can now experience the new sound of Mr. Bergling in the comfort of your own home. If there’s two pieces of advice I can give before listening to this mix: 1) have an open mind and 2) get ready for some Country. Avicii’s music has taken a lot of criticism, along with all of the accolades he’s accomplished in the past year, and he is showing major courage delving into a drastically different style. Whether you’re a past or present fan, give this mix a listen, as this is the “new Avicii” we will be seeing in the future.

Nervo – Hold On (Extended Mix) [Release]
After premiering three new tracks at Ultra Music Festival, Mim and Liv were bound to release one of them soon after the monumental festival. “Hold On” shows their warm side with beautiful vocals and a progressive synth filled build. This tune is a perfect spring jam as it demonstrates the duo’s club friendly sound. “Hopefully there will be a NERVO album by the end of the year, says Mim. “We’ve already fleshed out a lot of the ideas, which are great.” Liv adds that they “don’t want every song to be a four-on-the-floor, 128 [BPM] banger with an electro drop, we want to show some different layers to us as artists and writers.” Catch it on BeatPort via Astralwerks and enjoy!

This collaboration is a nice step outside the typical EDM track, more melodic and romantic than your typical trance or house song. Grab it on BeatPort, turn up your speakers and enjoy.

Alesso vs OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself (Alesso Remix) [Release]
Where in the world has Alesso been? Since “Clash” and a remix to Arty’s “When I See You” was released back in December, Sweden’s rising star has been quiet with his production as of late. Well, he finally returned to North America this past weekend playing at both days of Swedish House Mafia’s Masquerade Motel in Los Angeles, and following WMC, the “Pretty Boy” will be starting his North American Tour in April. This remix comes as no surprise, as he has a history of putting his spin on tracks with moving vocals, along with familiar progressive sounds to create a spring anthem. This is the perfect tune coming off of Alesso’s first UMF performance so be sure to catch it on BeatPort and enjoy!

Fareoh @Marquee NYC 03/09/13 [Review]
This past Saturday night I had the pleasure of attending the newly revamped Marquee New York, to enjoy the performance of progressive house icon, Fareoh. The young beat-smith showcased his talents for the packed house and had everyone in attendance rocking along with his set. As a NYC local, Fareoh’s ability to read the crowd was impecable. Nearly every track he played upped the tempo of what had become somewhat of a madhouse as the night progressed.
His set was mainly composed of bass heavy electro tracks such as Plastik Funk & Tujamo’s banger “Who”, a couple of tracks from Hardwell’s recent bootleg pack, and some of the young producer’s own original tracks. I was extremely impressed with Marquee’s overall sound system for what may be one of the largest venues in the city their sound was exceptionally powerful and clear. If addition the visual effects wall and lighting only made the venue that more appealing and exciting.
In addition to Fareoh’s already stellar performance the same artists who opened and closed for him “Modern Machines” had the crowd warmed up for what was going to be a long night…. At one point they played the extremely popular track “Harlem Shake” by Baauer that had the crowd going absolutely wild! Overall it was a great experience and one hell of a performance, if you haven’t already make sure to attend Marquee NYC sometime soon! For more pictures of this past saturday click here.

Jeremy Olander – Let Me Feel [Release]
At just 24-years-old, Jeremy Olander already has the support from one of the most famed and talented producers in the game known as Eric Prydz. Olander was the only person to have more than one track featured on Pryda’s legendary essential mix from last month. Prydz saw something special in the young stud when he signed him to a three-release deal on his own record label, Pryda Friends, and soon enough asked him to tour with him. In this track it’s easy to see why the veteran has so much confidence in Olander. And the praise does not stop there, Above & Beyond was happy to have Olander perform a guest mix on their radio show, ABGT, just under two weeks ago. It has been an exciting month for the prodigy, and he is showing no signs of slowing down. Peep this new original on BeatPort titled “Let Me Feel” , and let us know what you think!
