M2 – Wyndham [Release]

Fresh off the release of their debut EP, the NYC native duo M2 delivers another heavy hitter to compliment their signature sound. “Wyndham” gives you that underground feel with a bass-line similar to the likes of Gesaffelstein and Brodinski. Sky is the limit for this duo if they can keep up the good work so keep an eye out for more and let us know what you think of this filthy techno tune.

Jeremy Olander – Bandersnatch [Release]

It’s no secret that 2013 has been a tremendous year for Pryda Friends. Pete Tong just crowned Eric Prydz for having the best Essential Mix of 2013, after having released two excellent new tunes under his Pryda alias. Now to close out the year, Jeremy Olander has released his new single “Bandersnatch.” Named after a historic fictional character created by Lewis Carroll in 1872, it’s a perfect blend of an upbeat progressive melody with an underground touch, reflecting the swift monster. This newcomer has yet to disappoint after kicking the year off with one of my favorite tracks, “Let Me Feel.” There’s no doubt that Olander is extremely talented and will continue to be a mainstay in the progressive house scene. This gem of a single now available for purchase via Beatport.

Joris Voorn 2013 Year Mix [Free Download]

One of my absolute favorite producers in Joris Voorn has released his 2013 year mix. He states on his Soundcloud: “Not a definite best of 2013 list, but some tracks I really liked or played a lot, or both..” but I believe there are some really essential tunes on there, especially his original track, “Ringo.” The best part is that Joris has thrown it up as it a free download. Get it here and peep the tracklist after the break. Enjoy!

Dillon Francis feat. TEED – Without You (The Remixes) [Release]

If for some insane reason the original just didn’t do it for you, Dillon Francis proves his beast status by delivering a banging rebirth to his hit single feat. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs “Without You.” Along with his own re-work, remixes are now available by some major names including Flux Pavilion & Doctor P, Torro Torro, Henry Fog, Treasure Fingers and more. My favorite remixes from the package include Flux & Doctor P’s dubbed out filthy version and the Treasure Fingers remix that manages to give the track an even happier melodic vibe. Let us know what you think of this remix package out now on iTunes via Mad Decent.

Chromeo – Sexy Socialite (Boyz Noize Remix) [Preview]

Boys Noize takes his shot at trap production in his latest remix to Chromeo’s “Sexy Socialite”. His remix consists of a lot of techno aspects, as you would expected from Ridha. However the song flows surprisingly smoothly, with the combination of Boys Noize techno, and Chromeo lyrics and disco over a trap beat. Far from the original Chromeo single, but incredibly tasteful, which is to be expected of the house music veteran. No word on the release date to this remix as of yet, but make sure to check back with us soon.

Gesaffelstein – Aleph [Album Release]

Mike Levy A.K.A. Gesaffelstein has been working on his debut album for quite sometime now, and it is finally complete. The 14 track album is jam-packed with banger after banger of Mike’s signature hard hitting techno. The dark prince went completely solo on Aleph, which is a major change up from his recent work on Kanye West’s Album ‘Yeezus’. Where the native frenchman worked with artists Brodinski, Kanye and Daft Punk on multiple tunes. Focusing on a relatively new medium of distribution, Gesaffelstein has been able to keep his fans happy by preserving his signature style and not conforming to the mainstream. Techno and all electronic music fans rejoice, and make sure to purchase Gesa’s “Aleph”.

Gesaffelstein – Hate or Glory (Music Video)[Release]

The dark prince of techno, Mike Levy A.K.A. Gesaffelstein has delivered his latest single “Hate or Glory” via a graphic music video. The single is one of the first to be released to the public from his upcoming album “Aleph” which is set to be released on Halloween. Gesaffelstein has taken a liking to the production of extremely interesting music videos to compliment his musical works. The music video to his single “Pursuit” which was released over the summer was extremely provocative and symbolic, whereas his latest music video is more violent and raw. The incredible cinematography and video quality really engages viewers into Gesa’s visual and audio masterpiece.

Dog Blood – Middle Finger Pt.2 (EP) [Leak]

Following their formation earlier this year and the release of their incredibly successful first EP entitled “Middle Finger” Dog Blood, A.K.A. Boys Noize and Skrillex’s musical project has exploded. Fortunately for us, their latest EP, “Middle Finger Pt. 2″ a follow up to their debut EP has just leaked. The EP includes “Middle Finger Pt.2″, “Shred Sled”, “Chella Ride” and a few remixes by Millions Like Us, The M Machine and Trapmasters. Dog Blood has become one of the most successful musical projects in the industry, within the past year and shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Skrillex is also rumored to have teamed up with world renown electronic music producer Diplo for an additional musical product. Keep an eye out for these two as they are sure to expand the reach of their project within the coming months.

A$AP Rocky feat. Skrillex & Birdy Nam Nam – Wild For The Night (Dog Blood Remix) [Release]

Arguably the most polarizing duo in dance music could be Dog Blood featuring Sonny Moore with Alexander Ridha and for good reason. Skrillex & Boys Noize are bringing a new sound to the industry that so direly lacks originality and they seem to have been succeeding selling out shows and festivals worldwide. This remix to Skrillex’s “Wild for the Night” exemplifies the heavy hitting style they have been showcasing in their productions and we only hope to see more from Dog Blood as an EP is well in the works.

Boys Noize – Go Hard EP [Release]

boys-noize-go-hard-copyAlex Ridha aka Boys Noize is taking creativity to another level. The “Go Hard” EP  combines various genres including trap, disco, acidic house and much more. The other tracks on the EP are titled 1.Go Hard 2. Excuse Me 3. Inhale Exhale 4. Starwin 5. Push Em Up and it seems obvious that Dogblood has had an influence on Ridha’s solo productions. The “Go Hard EP” is now out via Boys Noize Records and available for purchase via iTunes.

Iamwhoiam – Y (Brodinski Remix) [Preview]

French electronic music connaisseur and Bromance label founder, Louis Rogé, A.K.A. Brodinski is back with his latest remix. Brodinski is one of the most innovative electronic producers to jump on the house music scene in recent years. He was recently credited with assisting in the production of multiple single’s on the controversial Kanye West album entitled, “Yeezus”. His remix to Iamwhoiam’s “Y” is his latest since his extremely popular remix to Destructo’s “Higher”. The dark and ominous bass line intertwines perfectly with the acidic sounding bass and comes together spectacularly. Stay tuned for a release date!

Loco Dice and Defected team up for a two disc ‘In The House’ Compilation [News]

Loco Dice has confirmed his collaboration with Defected Records to release a two-disc “In The House” compliation mix series. Tracks included will be from the likes of producers such as Kyle Hall, Diplo, and of course Loco Dice himself. Dice explains how the surprising idea to team up with Defected came about by giving details of an exchange he had with Simon Dunmore, the face of the highly acclaimed record label.

initially it wasn’t about business, just music. Eventually he asked me if I could do something for Defected, with as much freedom as I needed. For me it’s a great opportunity, and I always take compilations so seriously, as seriously as I would an album. I’m so happy with the results

This news is certainly a wonderful way to kick-off his longstanding, summer residency in Ibiza which has just started this week. The mix series, officially titled, “Loco Dice In The House”, will be available worldwide via Defected on July 21st. Peep the teaser and track list after the break below.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Axwell – ROAR [Release]

It seems like Axwell and Ingrosso have more in common than the other third of the former Swedish House Mafia in Steve Angello as they team up to deliver “Roar” a new collabo which was first premiered in the ‘Monsters University’ trailer and soundtrack. “Roar” is now available for purchase via iTunes including remixes from Style of Eye and Yogi. This is only the start of big things to come for these two as they have already booked their Ushuaia residency dubbed “Departures.” My favorite remix goes to Yogi who delivers a heavy banger to compliment two thirds of the former SHM’s new track. The original just feels like something is missing without Steve. Let us know what you think of this new collabo and enjoy.

Gesaffelstein & Brodinski @ Webster Hall (05.24.13) [Review]

Webster Hall got a taste of what real French Techno is like this past Friday the 24th, as Bromance artists and founders, Mike Levy A.K.A. Gesaffelstein and Louis Rogue A.K.A. Brodinski tore the roof off the NYC venue. Their banging back-to-back set lasted for three and a half hours, and was filled with hard hitting techno tracks, both originals themselves, and by their fellow producers including ‘Club Cheval’, as well as some trap singles and even the occasional rap song played by Brodinski. The most notable track of the night had to be Myd from Club Cheval’s “Same Old Brand New” which had the packed house going absolutely insane. The constant strobes, banging bass and attitudes of the two French house aficionados had every one in the building vibing out throughout the night. Fool’s Gold founder, A-Trak joined the duo on stage during their performance for a quick second to pay his respects aswell. Fellow Bromance artist Louisahhh!!! also showcased her talents following the back to back set, and closed out the night.

Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont – Safe With You (Dub Mix) [Preview]

Jacques Lu Cont and Alex Metric’s newest single “Safe With You” (Dub Mix) was dropped by Annie Mac this Friday, prior to all the Daft Punk festivities on Pete Tong’s radio 1. This collaboration by the two British producers offers an alternative, and somewhat of a transition for progressive fans into the nu-dico genre. The track it self is so dynamic, with it’s powerful build up and electro qualities it still maintain’s it’s funky bass line and melodic feel. Loving this combo of producers and this track in general, dropping off of ministry of sound, check back for release date!

Luciano @ Cipriani New York (04.14.13) [Review]

_17T6788Previously scheduled to appear at the high-profile Cipriani Sunday Series all the way back in February, Luciano’s performance was postponed to April 14th due to a blizzard in New York. His latest flyer read “Last time I couldn’t make it, but this time nothing will stop me.” Two long months and hundreds of anxious fans later, the weekend has finally arrived and it was time for Luciano to prove his legendary status at Cipriani on 42nd Street.

Alex Metric – Ammunition Part 3 (EP) [Release]

Alex Metric released part 3 of his Ammunition EP series yesterday, and it’s got some serious fire power! Composed of a festival style rave track, and some heavy electro singles with some french disco influence, part 3 may be Metric’s most diverse and best EP to date. Known for his extremely popular single “Rave Weapon” Alex is determined to expand his fan base with these new tunes while he experiments with some different styles and steps outside of his comfort zone. The EP also includes a sequele to his beloved “Rave Weapon”. Ammunition pt. 3 was released off of Skrillex’s “OWSLA” yesterday and is available on Beatport.

Daft Punk Confirmation of 13 New Tracks Registered With Sony [News]

urlDespite all the new material coming out of WMC in Miami, Florida this week, the absent Daft Punk duo still manages to make headlines. It has been confirmed once and for all today, that 13 tracks have been officially registered by the notorious EDM group known as Daft Punk with Sony Music.

After an extremely prolonged period of teasers and rumors, hard evidence has at last surfaced to ensure the release of a new album from the French duo. Earlier today the Twitter handel @EDM released a snapshot of an online registration form that included 13 new Daft Punk tracks. Although the names of the songs still remain unknown, their lengths have been made public.

The news comes as a relief to many, following an upsetting display of counterfeit posters at SXSW in Austin, Texas last week with the date March 15th on them. In the past few months rumors spurred by forged documents and teasers have flooded the media. However it appears that fans have finally learned to await confirmation, from legitimate sources before believing what they hear.

Boys Noize – Ultra Music Festival 15.03.13 (Live Set) [Review]

Ultra_2013_Concert_Review_Boys_NoizeAs weekend one of UMF fifteen comes to an end, artists and fans prepare for the party filled week ahead. While music entusiasts and spectators pick and chose events to attend in the coming days, their impressions of weekend one will surely influence their decision making. With his unforgettable performance on day one of Ultra 15, German producer, Alex Ridha A.K.A Boys Noize, made quite the impact on spectators. For an hour and forty five minutes Boys Noize had everyone in attendance going wild. His performance encompassed a flurry of exotic light shows, his unique skull stage that he rose from and last but not least a vicious Daft-Punk-esque set. The heart stopping bass and euphoric synths of Alex’s loud and melodic tunes had the stage shaking. Ridha’s set was composed mainly of Boys Noize originals and remixes and mixed with extreme precision and style. Surely my favorite performance of the weekend, definitely planning on attending more of his performances this WMC.
