Insomniac & SBE Team Up To Open Hollywood Nightclub “Create” [News]
The former Hollywood nightclub known as Vanguard will be reopening as “Create”, under the joint management of hospitality firm, SBE and EDM promotion firm Insomniac. The complete interior revamp undergone by the venue, is accompanied by a long list of upcoming performances in the coming weeks. Knife Party – Haunted House (EP) [Release]
As per usual Knife Party made quite the statement during Ultra 15 with some of their newest heart-stopping bangers. The electro duo has confirmed the release of their newest EP “Haunted House” sometime in the middle of this month, as well as the 4 tracks that will be released on it. “Power Glove” the opening track of Knife Party’s UMF 2013 set, is a signature KP track, with a lot more bass and slightly more ominous then their typical tracks. The second track on their upcoming EP is entitled “LRAD” a single you would never expect from the former Pendulum members, as the song simply doesn’t fit their production style, but nonetheless an absolute BANGER. The 3rd track is a VIP remix to their notorious “Internet Friends”, at one point it was speculated that the duo’s single “Baghdad” would be replacing it. Baghdad has yet to be officially previewed, but has been played in live sets by Knife Party, and is slightly more fast paced than their other original tracks. The same can be said for the fourth and final track on the “Haunted House” EP is called “EDM Death Machine”. It is a funky electro track with some Knife Party spunk, and a similarly humorous lyrics to that of Internet friends.

Waka Flocka Flame To Collaborate with Skrillex, Diplo, Flosstradamus and more on ‘EDM Rap Album’ [News]
Rapper Waka Flocka Flame, proclaimed himself as “The King of Rap EDM” during an interview with website Hip Hop DX last week. The Atlanta rap star plans to collaborate with artists such as Diplo, Skrillex and Flosstradamus amongst others. After experiencing some EDM during a trip to the South By South West event in Austin, Texas during this past March seems to have had an affect on the hip-hop icon.
“The Southby experience (SXSW), it was all EDM…Trap music. I went down there only for the ultra. That shit was crazy” said Flocka. When asked about his rumored EDM x Rap album, Waka responded by saying “It’s already in the motion. Flosstradamus, Diplo, Skrillex. Some underground people, too. I want to create a name. I’ve been doing it in hip-hop so long.”
It’s not quite clear as to when the so called “EDM Rap album” will be released, what it will be called, or who the proclaimed “underground people” are. However Flocka’s album “Flockaveli 2″ is scheduled to be released on October 5th of this year, no word on whether these EDM collaborations will be featured on it.

Avicii – Promo Mix 2013
Fresh off a UMF main stage performance that stunned many, Avicii has released his “Promo Mix” for 2013. The night before Weekend 2 of the festival kicked off, the young Swede said he would be featuring some of his new tracks, and boy, was this a version of Avicii we were yet to see. Whether people would appreciate this new style or not, was a high-risk/high-reward situation for Tim. After hearing all of the mixed reviews, you can now experience the new sound of Mr. Bergling in the comfort of your own home. If there’s two pieces of advice I can give before listening to this mix: 1) have an open mind and 2) get ready for some Country. Avicii’s music has taken a lot of criticism, along with all of the accolades he’s accomplished in the past year, and he is showing major courage delving into a drastically different style. Whether you’re a past or present fan, give this mix a listen, as this is the “new Avicii” we will be seeing in the future.

Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” Launch Party To Take Place At Australia’s Wee Waa Agricultural Show May 17th [News]
Legendary production duo, Daft Punk has had house music fans on the fence for the past few months, anxiously awaiting the release of their newest album “Random Access Memories.” As news regarding the album progressively disseminates throughout the music industry, excitement continues to build amongst Guy and Thomas’s millions of fans. Random Access Memories is set to be released on May 21st via Columbia Records. However the newest piece of information regarding the album was revealed earlier today, Daft Punk has just announced their global launch party will take place at Australia’s anual “Wee Waa” agricultural festival on May 17th.
The location is somewhat unconventional, but definitely unique to say the least. Only 4,000 tickets will be sold to the agricultural festival on The Crossing Theatre’s website, starting this Friday, April 12th. According to Wee Waa’s local news site, they will host a playback of the album from a purpose built stage.
The duo reportedly decided to host the launch party of their newest album in a town with a population of less than 2,100, because they were attracted by the CSIRO Australian telescope, and countless Satellite dishes. If you don’t have the cash to shell out for a flight to Australia, and some Wee Waa tickets as some Daft Punk mega fans have already started planning, be sure to stay tuned to BleedHouse on May 21st for the release and review of ”Random Access Memories.”

UMF 15: Exploring Beyond The Main Stage [Review]
While Ultra Music Festival stacks its main stage with the elite producers in the dance music industry, every year features new sets performed at their other respective stages that truly highlight the essence of an individual’s UMF experience. Last year, I had finally popped my UMF cherry and this year I made a promise to look beyond the main stage and explore the rest of the new stages that had been prepared. The execs at Ultra made that easy with the schedules they generated. I was able to attend both weekends, and write about which sets away from the main stage had the greatest effect on my Ultra Music Festival 2013 experience.

Daft Punk Confirmation of 13 New Tracks Registered With Sony [News]
Despite all the new material coming out of WMC in Miami, Florida this week, the absent Daft Punk duo still manages to make headlines. It has been confirmed once and for all today, that 13 tracks have been officially registered by the notorious EDM group known as Daft Punk with Sony Music.
After an extremely prolonged period of teasers and rumors, hard evidence has at last surfaced to ensure the release of a new album from the French duo. Earlier today the Twitter handel @EDM released a snapshot of an online registration form that included 13 new Daft Punk tracks. Although the names of the songs still remain unknown, their lengths have been made public.
The news comes as a relief to many, following an upsetting display of counterfeit posters at SXSW in Austin, Texas last week with the date March 15th on them. In the past few months rumors spurred by forged documents and teasers have flooded the media. However it appears that fans have finally learned to await confirmation, from legitimate sources before believing what they hear.

Boys Noize – Ultra Music Festival 15.03.13 (Live Set) [Review]
As weekend one of UMF fifteen comes to an end, artists and fans prepare for the party filled week ahead. While music entusiasts and spectators pick and chose events to attend in the coming days, their impressions of weekend one will surely influence their decision making. With his unforgettable performance on day one of Ultra 15, German producer, Alex Ridha A.K.A Boys Noize, made quite the impact on spectators. For an hour and forty five minutes Boys Noize had everyone in attendance going wild. His performance encompassed a flurry of exotic light shows, his unique skull stage that he rose from and last but not least a vicious Daft-Punk-esque set. The heart stopping bass and euphoric synths of Alex’s loud and melodic tunes had the stage shaking. Ridha’s set was composed mainly of Boys Noize originals and remixes and mixed with extreme precision and style. Surely my favorite performance of the weekend, definitely planning on attending more of his performances this WMC.
