Gregori Klosman @ Cielo NYC (05.16.13) [Interview]
This past Thursday night we had the pleasure of sitting down with the heavy hitting Frenchman Gregori Klosman before his performance at the notorious Cielo. Gregori certainly put Cielo’s renowned sound system to the test with his fierce, vivid set. Gregori kicked off the night by yelling: “fuck main stream were going underground” in which he played deep and dark house ID tracks one after another. After about an hour or so of unidentifiable house tracks, Gregori came back to drop Tiesto’s Get Loose remix which caused an eruption of screams and roars. From that point on, Gregori went into mash-up mode with: Wakanda Antidote, Rasputin Canonball Song 2, and The Stellar Code of Nillionare (with Kick Out the Epic Mother Fucker vocals). If that wasn’t enough, Gregori’s track selection was uncanny and brilliant with such tracks as: Porter Robinson – Languages into Dyro and Bassjackers – Grid, Carnage – Spaceman Festival Trap remix into R.L. Grime – Satisfaction remix, Alesso – If I Lose Myself Tonight remix into Sultan & Ned Shepard – Locked Out Of Heaven remix, and his track Low Battery into Benny Benassi – House Music.
As you can tell, this night was nothing short of epic madness, and he had the crowd enthralled and jumping for 3 hours straight. We were all hoping at some point he would drop his upcoming track Bad Guy, and he did with authority by mixing it with Alarvo & Mercer ft. Lil Jon – Welcome to the Jungle, which put Cielo into an absolute frenzy. Gregori suffocated the crowd all night long with vicious hard-hitting bass lines, and he did it with class. Rumor has it that Gregori will be returning to NYC this summer and we cannot wait for his return. Peep our interview with the Frenchman below and enjoy!

UMF 15: Exploring Beyond The Main Stage [Review]
While Ultra Music Festival stacks its main stage with the elite producers in the dance music industry, every year features new sets performed at their other respective stages that truly highlight the essence of an individual’s UMF experience. Last year, I had finally popped my UMF cherry and this year I made a promise to look beyond the main stage and explore the rest of the new stages that had been prepared. The execs at Ultra made that easy with the schedules they generated. I was able to attend both weekends, and write about which sets away from the main stage had the greatest effect on my Ultra Music Festival 2013 experience.

Anjunabeats Volume 10 Pool Party @ National, Miami Beach [Event]
“Few compilations series raise the same levels of excitement among the trance family as Above Beyond’s seminal ‘Volume’ series.” - Mixmag
To commemorate the launch and success of ‘Anjunabeats Volume 10′, Above and Beyond’s prized ‘Anjunabeats’ label will be landing in South Beach this weekend, March 16th for a trance filled pool party at The National Pool. Some of Anjuna’s most prized members like Andrew Bayer, Jaytech and Maor Levi will be attending in addition to special guests, multi-genred Mat Zo and trance-step Seven Lions. Mat Zo’s collaboration with Porter Robinson, “Easy” has been all the buzz recently and Seven Lions connected with Anjunabeats with the release of their remix of “You’ve Got To Go” in 2011. Needless to say we are more than thrilled to rage with these star producers in Miami.
Fareoh @Marquee NYC 03/09/13 [Review]
This past Saturday night I had the pleasure of attending the newly revamped Marquee New York, to enjoy the performance of progressive house icon, Fareoh. The young beat-smith showcased his talents for the packed house and had everyone in attendance rocking along with his set. As a NYC local, Fareoh’s ability to read the crowd was impecable. Nearly every track he played upped the tempo of what had become somewhat of a madhouse as the night progressed.
His set was mainly composed of bass heavy electro tracks such as Plastik Funk & Tujamo’s banger “Who”, a couple of tracks from Hardwell’s recent bootleg pack, and some of the young producer’s own original tracks. I was extremely impressed with Marquee’s overall sound system for what may be one of the largest venues in the city their sound was exceptionally powerful and clear. If addition the visual effects wall and lighting only made the venue that more appealing and exciting.
In addition to Fareoh’s already stellar performance the same artists who opened and closed for him “Modern Machines” had the crowd warmed up for what was going to be a long night…. At one point they played the extremely popular track “Harlem Shake” by Baauer that had the crowd going absolutely wild! Overall it was a great experience and one hell of a performance, if you haven’t already make sure to attend Marquee NYC sometime soon! For more pictures of this past saturday click here.

Fedde Le Grand @ Finale NYC (03.01.13) [Review]
There is nothing like a weekend in NYC when Fedde decides to stroll through! Fedde Le Grand is one of our favorite elite Dutch DJ/producer’s that has been making us want to “Put Our Hands Up” for the past decade. Not only can he produce smash hit bangers that make you want to dance uncontrollably, but he also is one hell of a DJ that can deliver a great non-commercial set. I had the pleasure of seeing him a couple months back at Sensation White. His set was fantastic, but I had already thought coming in that it wouldn’t be the same kind of music style at Finale, considering the different kind of crowd that was present as opposed to Sensation.

Above & Beyond @ Roseland Ballroom (02.16.13) [Review]
Above & Beyond made a wise decision when they chose the Roseland Ballroom in New York City to host their official Anjunabeats Vol. 10 Launch Party. The line extended for three blocks around our favorite NYC dance venue as Group Therapy die hards anxiously waited their turn to be admitted into a night they would never forget. Nights with performances from the kings of trance have never failed to be filled with unlimited dancing, emotion, and love; And on February 16th 2013, in the world greatest city, the Anjuna crew simply put on a show that those in attendance will never forget.
David Guetta @ Marquee NY (02.06.13) [Review]

The newly revamped Marquee NY has already established itself as one of the go to venues on Wednesday nights and the weekend. Tomorrow night they will be graced with the likes of Tiesto and a few weeks back I was lucky enough to catch the superstar Frenchman known as David Guetta. David has always been that DJ that a majority of fans here in the U.S. will consider a mainstream pop like figure. Although you can’t deny that many of his sets include the likes of common EDM anthems, one must u understand that this is what David Guetta does best. His fans adore him for it and are always raging despite the constant stating that he is a sellout by most house music snobs. As long as EDM pours into the mainstream like it did this past year, David’s popularity will continue to rise around the world and he should be given credit for how he markets his vision for EDM.

Thomas Gold @ Roseland Ballroom 1.26.13 [Review]

A few weekends back, we had the opportunity to head back to the ever popular, rave-ready Roseland Ballroom on Jan 26th to see NYC’s fan favorite Thomas Gold. We were just here a few months ago for the legendary performance by Eric Prydz, and we expected nothing less from Thomas Gold as he is known to always kill it in New York City were you can usually catch him spinning at Governors Island in the Summer or Pacha N. His opening acts consisted of Nari & Milani, Feenixpawl, Carl Louis & Martin Danielle.
