Gregori Klosman & Tony Romera – Bad Guy [Release]
Fellow French superstars Gregori Klosman and Tony Romera have just unveiled a preview of there earth shattering track “Bad Guy.” They start this rampageous banger off with an electrifying epic build up, mixed with quivering drums and then they unleash there wrath with an apocalyptic drop that will leave you with an eargasm. As an added bonus Gregori and Tony are running a contest to see who is the “baddest” fan around. The rules are to either Tweet or Instagram a photo of a bad guy or villain from any movie, TV show, comic, etc with the hash tag #saygoodnighttothebadguy. The lucky winner will receive Gregori’s Sennheiser headphones (that he has used for the past two years) and a bottle of Pandor (which was the inspiration behind Tony’s massive track “Pandor”). This monster of a track was released via Klosman’s new GURU Records which is the second single from the label following “Serial Killer” and, is now available on BeatPort . The extremely talented Anthony Gonzalez, A.K.A. M83, the artist responsible for “Midnight City” has produced the soundtrack for an upcoming movie entitled “Oblivion.” This track also entitled “Oblivion” is the last single off the movie’s soundtrack, featuring Susanne Sundfor. An extremely powerful alternative track with some electronic touches to it. Definitely not your typical EDM kind of track and won’t appeal to the masses but “Oblivion” is definately a tasteful combination of melodies and euphoric sounds. Let me know what you think!

Richie Hawtin Introduces Traktor DJ App [News]
Regarded as one of the most talented mixers of all time, Richie Hawtin recently launched Native Instrument’s new DJ App the called Traktor. Product designer Scott Hobbs says, “We wanted to stop and this about this: how could we break down the digital DJing interface?” Similar to their computer software, the app uses the waveform in the center, two decks and many Traktor effects. The Ipad app uses multi-touch development so DJs can pinch and swipe to set loops and cues while still making it accessible to change tracks. Waveforms and finger movements trigger the tactile touchscreen.
DJ’s can easily adjust and develop their sets via Traktor and upload their work onto a computer. “We wanted to reach out to a broad range of customers, including these beginner and fringe DJs,” says Hobbs. The app reaches out to an ample range of DJs, and has been utilized by the biggest names like Richie Hawtin and Dubfire. Hobbs was trying to create freedom in the mixing game with the creation of Traktor and Native Instruments has very high expectations. All in all, this app provides an easy digital interface for novice to expert DJs. Some may consider using this app as “cheating” compared to manual mixing, but there are many skills to be learned with the Traktor app. Richie Hawtin, one of the kings of techno, is already playing around with it so download the app today via Itunes!

Above & Beyond made a wise decision when they chose the Roseland Ballroom in New York City to host their official Anjunabeats Vol. 10 Launch Party. The line extended for three blocks around our favorite NYC dance venue as Group Therapy die hards anxiously waited their turn to be admitted into a night they would never forget. Nights with performances from the kings of trance have never failed to be filled with unlimited dancing, emotion, and love; And on February 16th 2013, in the world greatest city, the Anjuna crew simply put on a show that those in attendance will never forget.

Thomas Gold @ Roseland Ballroom 1.26.13 [Review]
A few weekends back, we had the opportunity to head back to the ever popular, rave-ready Roseland Ballroom on Jan 26th to see NYC’s fan favorite Thomas Gold. We were just here a few months ago for the legendary performance by Eric Prydz, and we expected nothing less from Thomas Gold as he is known to always kill it in New York City were you can usually catch him spinning at Governors Island in the Summer or Pacha N. His opening acts consisted of Nari & Milani, Feenixpawl, Carl Louis & Martin Danielle.

As we all know superstar DJ/Producer Tiesto loves making his own adjustments to songs of all genres and styles. The dutch musical genius has experience fine tuning and adjusted from Kanye West’s “Lost In The World” all the way to Coldplay’s “Paradise” and everything in between, so his latest remix comes as no surprise to his fans. This remix of Passion Pit’s “Carried Away” is a lot more simple than his typical remixes, a mellow progressive single that really accentuates the vocals of the original track.

As soon as word got out that Zedd would be in NYC’s newest nightlife venue FINALE, I obviously jumped at the chance to him at the Lower East Side latest hot spot this past Thursday, January 17th. Zedd has been on a roll lately having just released his latest album “Clarity” a few months back, and just debuted his new music video last week for the track “Clarity” featuring Foxes. It has been quite a year for Anton as he continues to rise in the ranks of producing and a debut at FINALE spells a big 2013 for Zedd.
Diplo – Holy Ship Beach 2013 [Live Set]
The notorious EDM cruise known as Holy Ship killed it a few weeks ago with massive artists like A-Trak, Diplo, Knife Party, and even a surprise from Skrillex. Blende & Surrender! – Circus (Original Mix) [Release]
Circus is an extremely chill edm collaboration between Swedish producer Blende & Israeli house duo Surrender. There has been talk that these artists will be featured on the much talked about, soon to come Daft Punk album later this year, and after listening to this track it’s obvious as to why. The use of synth in this track is somewhat reminiscent of those used by the edm legends themselves. Curious to see if the rumors are true…
