Deep house duo, Disclosure is back at it again with their latest release “When A Fire Starts To Burn”. The Lawrence brothers stick to their signature funk on this single but build the foundation of the track around a looped sample. Their album “Settle” is scheduled to be released on June 3rd, so stay tuned for updates on what promises to be a deep house album for the ages!

 Every year tons of new DJ’s and producers flock into the scene trying to gain the following needed to push their respective careers over the top. So far in 2013, these five artists stood out to me the most and gave us fans the most to look forward to this coming sumer. You may not of heard of a few of the names on this list but you should definitely start to become aware as their production skills have convinced me that they are in the industry to stay. Let us know what you think of our choices after the break below and get excited; its festival season!

5. Hucci

- If you can’t get enough trap then Hucci is just right for you. This 17 year old producer has got the skills of vet as he seems to have mastered the genres flow. My favorite tracks from his latest EP titled “Freezy” and “Black Magic.” Check out his soundcloud and stay tuned for a big summer for Hucci as he will only grow more popular as trap music continues to evolve and grow itself onto the EDM community.

4. Deorro

- Remember the name Ton!c? Now the youngster goes by the name of Deorro and has kept delivering the high quality pandafunk bangers. His remix to Laidback Luke’s “Pogo” is a personal favorite along with his funky original with Joel Fletcher in “Queef.” Deorro has been popping up on BeatPort charts and is starting to gain some serious recognition amongst the big EDM labels.

3. W&W

- The Dutch duo Willem van Hanegem and Wardt van der Harst (AKA Re-Ward) have become huge players in the EDM industry in a very short period of time.  It’s easy to see why they’ve become so popular in such a small amount of time as they continue to release festival anthems such as: “Lift Off”, “The Code”, “D# Fat”, and their latest banger in “Thunder.“ Performing unforgettable sets at Ultra and ASTOT 600, W&W proved not only can they make outstanding Big Room music but, they can also perform with the best of them. With the support of the likes of Armin van Buuren, Willem and Wardt have made their presents felt and, from the looks of things they are in store for one busy summer. If the duo can keep this hot streak going only the sky will be the limit for W&W.

2. GTA (JWLS & Van Toth)

- Miami based duo Matt Toth and Julio Mejia have taken the industry by storm as their hit single “Hit It” was one of the most played tracks at Ultra 2013 not to mention “Turn it Up” which took BeatPort charts by storm. If you have yet to hear of duo known as GTA its time to get familiar as they were easily one of my favorite DJ’s to see live this past year. Check out Vol.2 of their ‘Death to Genres’ mix as it showcases how diverse this duo can really get and get ready for a massive summer from GTA.

1. Martin Garrix

- At 16 years old, Martin Garrix has one of the highest potential to raise to stardom in the dance music community. His production quality is that of a veteran producer and his music never ceases to impress. Martin’s recent collaborations include the likes of Sidney Samson, Jordy Dazz and many more. Just recently he previewed his latest original BANGER in “Animals” , and if you are a member of Vine you also got a sneak peek of his upcoming collaboration with Dillon Francis!   Be sure to keep an eye out because this will be the summer of Martin Garrix.

Deadmau5 has been on a tear as of late delivering four brand new previews to some productions and collabo’s in the works. This time he pairs with a dub star in the making known as Kill the Noise to preview “Killthemau5″ , a funky, hard dub infused tune that blends the signature chords of the respective artists.  Joel clearly states that the track is a work in progress but from the looks of it, Deadmau5 fans have a ton to look forward to.

Fellow French superstars Gregori Klosman and Tony Romera have just unveiled a preview of there earth shattering track “Bad Guy.” They start this rampageous banger off with an electrifying epic build up, mixed with quivering drums and then they unleash there wrath with an apocalyptic drop that will leave you with an eargasm. As an added bonus Gregori and Tony are running a contest to see who is the “baddest” fan around. The rules are to either Tweet or Instagram a photo of a bad guy or villain from any movie, TV show, comic, etc with the hash tag #saygoodnighttothebadguy. The lucky winner will receive Gregori’s Sennheiser headphones (that he has used for the past two years) and a bottle of Pandor (which was the inspiration behind Tony’s massive track “Pandor”). This monster of a track was released via Klosman’s new GURU Records which is the second single from the label following “Serial Killer” and, is now available on BeatPort . Robin Thicke’s controversial music video to his single “Blurred Lines” has attracted a lot of attention in the past month, including that of producer Laidback Luke. Following up his remix to Martin Solveig’s “Hey Now” Luke has decided to apply his own rendition to Thicke’s popular hit single. With a few of the heavier bass-lines we have ever heard Luke use, and both coming in such a short span of time, we question Laidback’s production direction and what is to come next. No word as to when the track will be released, check back for more news!

Just a couple of weeks back, Joel Zimmerman previewed his latest track “Satellite”, and today we continue to see what he’s been working on in the studio. “Suite 03″, while just a standard two-minute preview, portrays Deadmau5 going back to his older style, this time with a “drop not included”, and a melody that could stand on its own. Ever since releasing his “>album title goes here<” album this past September, there seems to be a new-found love for Mau5. As the man who truly speaks his mind making one controversial statement after another, there is a quality this producer has that keeps a dedicated fan-base begging for more. “Suite 03″ shows just one of the many sides of Deadmau5, and we cannot wait for the full release.

Wes James A.K.A “Le Youth” is an up and coming producer in the EDM industry, on a mission to collaborate modern house music with 90′s disco sounds. Recently the disco genre has been experiencing somewhat of a modern day revolution propelled by advocates such as Wes. His singles reflect a tasteful mix between modern music and pre-internet disco that come together in an elegant, and aesthetically pleasing blend of audio. Far from the typical electronic dance tracks we hear today, Le Youth’s “French House” singles provide an excellent combination of funk and soul that has been missing in the industry for quite some time.

Last night Kanye made a guest appearance on SNL to perform two forthcoming tracks off of his new highly anticipated album titled ‘Yeezus’ due out on June 18th. He went off on two live performances including “New Slaves” which has been affiliated with the likes of Hudson Mohawke, Hit Boy and more. He also previewed his massive rumored collaboration with Daft Punk known as ‘Black Skinhead’. “He was rapping – kind of screaming primally” said Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter of the production, and this track seems to have fit that bill. Wether DP contributed to its production a small amount or it was a full forced collaboration between the two industries giants, ‘Black Skinhead’ a long with Kanye’s entire upcoming album are sure to achieve platinum status. Stay tuned for more on this album as Skrillex has also been confirmed to have contributed to ‘Yeezus’.

This past Thursday night we had the pleasure of sitting down with the heavy hitting Frenchman Gregori Klosman before his performance at the notorious Cielo. Gregori certainly put Cielo’s renowned sound system to the test with his fierce, vivid set. Gregori kicked off the night by yelling: “fuck main stream were going underground” in which he played deep and dark house ID tracks one after another. After about an hour or so of unidentifiable house tracks, Gregori came back to drop Tiesto’s Get Loose remix which caused an eruption of screams and roars. From that point on, Gregori went into mash-up mode with: Wakanda Antidote, Rasputin Canonball Song 2, and The Stellar Code of Nillionare (with Kick Out the Epic Mother Fucker vocals). If that wasn’t enough, Gregori’s track selection was uncanny and brilliant with such tracks as: Porter Robinson – Languages into Dyro and Bassjackers – Grid, Carnage – Spaceman Festival Trap remix into R.L. Grime – Satisfaction remix, Alesso – If I Lose Myself Tonight remix into Sultan & Ned Shepard – Locked Out Of Heaven remix, and his track Low Battery into Benny Benassi – House Music.

As you can tell, this night was nothing short of epic madness, and he had the crowd enthralled and jumping for 3 hours straight. We were all hoping at some point he would drop his upcoming track Bad Guy, and he did with authority by mixing it with Alarvo & Mercer ft. Lil Jon – Welcome to the Jungle, which put Cielo into an absolute frenzy. Gregori suffocated the crowd all night long with vicious hard-hitting bass lines, and he did it with class. Rumor has it that Gregori will be returning to NYC this summer and we cannot wait for his return. Peep our interview with the Frenchman below and enjoy!

BH: First of all we’d like to thank you taking the time to sit down with us Gregori. For those who are unfamiliar with you, tell us a little bit about yourself; where are you from?

GK: Thank you for having me. I am from Paris, France.

BH: At what age did you start producing?

GK: I don’t exactly know, but the serious shit started around 2005. My first release ever was a remix in 2007.

BH: Who or what inspired you to start making music?

GK: Daft Punk, Erick Morillo, Bob Sinclar and Roger Sanchez. Daft Punk was definitely my electronic music heroes. First time I heard them I was like what the fuck is that sound!? It was really new. And did you know in France, even DJ Mag, told about the first album Daft Punk, this will never stay in the history of music. They said it was shit. 10 years later, they apologized publicly in the magazine, because it was so new, it was so groundbreaking. Nobody understood at first, but then they knew it was like the real shit.

BH: What is your favorite genre of music?

GK: Club. For me I don’t mind what genre you like: Dubstep, Deep house, Progressive, Electro whatever. For me, the most important thing is to make people dance. Entertain people all night long. I’m a DJ first, and a producer. I want to see people dance. If they are bored it’s not cool.

BH: Who are some of your favorite artists out now, and who would like to collaborate with?

GK: I love Zedd, I love Steve Angello. There is new talent coming. There is so many people out there. I don’t know the scene is so big right now. Everybody is inspiring me in a way. I’m listening to everybody’s song. Skrillex is really amazing. Knife Party, those people have their own sound. Also, my best friend Tristan Garner. I think he’s underrated. He’s an amazing producer. I would love to collaborate with Zedd, Steve Angello, and Axwell. Axwell, he has those amazing vibes, and you see, Axwell is always touching hearts. My favorite track from Axwell is not “Feel the Vibe”. I love it, but I think is “Watch the Sun Rise”. Even his new upcoming track “Center of the Universe”, is really full of house vibe. He’s never been too far from the roots, and that’s why I love him. I would also like to work with Eric Prydz. I have many, many collaborations coming up. For me, it doesn’t matter who I work with. What is important is what can I get from this collaboration. I want to go to the point that I could not go alone. So, if I team up with let’s say, Lucky Date, or Bassjackers, or Tommy Trash for example, I want to go to a point where he couldn’t do this alone, I couldn’t do this alone, but together it’s just a stunning track.

BH: Speaking of Tristan Garner how long have you two been friends?

BH: Do you feel there is a difference from performing in the United States VS Europe?

GK: The difference is, I’m from Europe so House Music is not originally, but the main scene. The biggest DJ’s, the big names are from Europe, so I’m kind of used to that Europe sound and scene. USA is really new, it’s like maybe two years or three years. Now, it’s so big. People, they’re just enjoying the sound. They don’t care if you are famous, unknown, it’s all about the energy because, never forget that a DJ is entertaining people. If it’s just the music, then you can just press play. This is something that I don’t really like at the moment. Everybody is playing the same kind of playlist. Which I can understand in a way, but the energy is really important from a DJ to another.

BH: What was the first major label you were signed to?

GK: Joia Records was the first major label I was signed to. For me, the biggest moment of my career was not when I worked with a House Music label, but it was when I was asked by a major label to work on a remix. For example, Lady Gaga or Atlantic, E.M.I. Then it’s just step by step. Now, what I’m really proud of, is I have my own label called “GURU Recordings”.

BH: What was the inspiration behind naming your label GURU recordings?

GK: Well, you probably know my concept of “Klosmania”, my podcast. It’s based on a virtual concept. Like a story where in the near future, Electronic Music is forbidden, because it has gathered too many people together.  So, it’s kind of a mix, like “Fight Club”, the army of “12 Monkeys”,  and the movie “The Boat that Rocked” (Pirate Radio) because, back in the days in England, in the U.K., Rock and Roll was forbidden. For me, this is the spirit of “Klosmania” show. Even if it’s forbidden, they were still broadcasting on a boat in the ocean. They don’t care about rules, law, whatever. So, for me that’s a little bit of the spirit of “Klosmania”. Further, GURU is a bigger movement. A Guru is a guy you listen to, you watch, you learn from. And I think nowadays it’s clever to say a DJ is a Guru. So, when you’re going to a festival like EDC New York, or Tomorrowland for example, you have like 60 thousand people just watching a guy, alone, with cheers and music, and he’s turning down the place. This guy is a modern day Guru. So, that’s why I called my label this.

BH: Tell us about the production of your upcoming track with Toney Romera Bad Guy, its receving major praise. Did you expect it to take off the way it has already?

GK: I’ve learned not expect too much from anything in this business, because you can be surprised. Sometimes you don’t expect anything, and poof you have everything. And sometimes you have too many expectations, and it doesn’t come. What I expect is for people to love the track, to welcome the track, because we did the track for them. We just want to entertain people with this track. It’s like it has this nasty violent drop. Like, in between you have the chords with electronic sounds, and a build up like Deadmau5.

BH: With Bad Guy being released on the 20^th are you working on any other new music from yourself or from the label?

GK: The next release on the label will be Dicey Poles EP # 1. It’s 5 guys, 5 new talents that I put them together to give them a chance to be listened to, and it’s going to be released June 17^th. I have a collaboration track with Michael Calfan on Size Records. In August, I have a collaboration track with Bassjackers on Spinnin Records. I have a lot of up coming tracks, and new stuff. I’m experiencing new sound at the moment, because I’m kind of tired all the things we are hearing at the moment. It’s cool on the dance floor, but I just want to have fun when I’m producing. I have about two or three tracks I’m going to release on GURU.

BH: When you’re not making music or performing what are some of the things you like to do on your off time?

GK: Driving my motorcycle. It helps me forget everything. Just me, my bike, the sun, and the sound of the engine. It helps you to just empty yourself of your mind.

BH: I’m sure you’ve been asked this questions numerous times but I have to ask it: How did you and Chuckie meet?

GK: On Twitter. He was supporting my track “Fuckin’ Down”, and another track of mine which I can’t remember. I tweeted him saying thank you for supporting my sounds. He answered “I love what you do let’s work together”, so we got in touch, became friends, started working together, and now I’m really proud to be number two on the Dirty Dutch label.

BH: What’s in store for you this summer?

GK: This summer I will be performing with Chuckie at Pacha Ibiza for Dirty Dutch Mondays, as well as Mysteryland,  and Tomorrowland.
