Above & Beyond – Walter White (Original Mix) [Release]

Screen Shot 2013-04-29 at 11.58.53 AM

In the picture above from their UMF Main Stage performance, you will see Jono Grant sporting a shirt that reads “Walter & Jesse & Gustavo & Meth.” This shirt is in direct support of Above & Beyond’s favorite television series “Breaking Bad”, whose main character is named Walter White. The inspiration for the song, Walter’s character experiences several different emotions. Well the tune clearly correlates, as we are first given a soft melody which ultimately breaks into an uptempo, super-dark beat. A&B played this track during both weekends of UMF, and the crowd went berserk both times. This track was released via Anjunabeats, and is now officially available on Beatport and iTunes.

UMF 15: Exploring Beyond The Main Stage [Review]

4-Major-Lazer12While Ultra Music Festival stacks its main stage with the elite producers in the dance music industry, every year features new sets performed at their other respective stages that truly highlight the essence of an individual’s UMF experience. Last year, I had finally popped my UMF cherry and this year I made a promise to look beyond the main stage and explore the rest of the new stages that had been prepared. The execs at Ultra made that easy with the schedules they generated. I was able to attend both weekends, and write about which sets away from the main stage had the greatest effect on my Ultra Music Festival 2013 experience.

Above & Beyond present: #TATW450. Will it be the last ever?

Since 2004, fans of trance have been able to look forward to Above & Beyond’s weekly radio show known as none other than Trance Around the World. In a recent shocking announcement following TATW #449, we have come to learn that their upcoming #450 show in Bangalore will be the last TATW ever. If you think about the amazing music A&B has provided us for nearly a decade through TATW it really gives you chills knowing that this could very well be the final episode ever.

On a brighter note, A&B did post this photo in a recent tweet which could signal a few things. Could it be that the reason they decided to put an end to TATW was to free up some time for a new ocean lab album? As sad as the ending of TATW in Bangalore is, a new album would most definitely suffice.

Be sure to check into www.Aboveandbeyond.nu on Saturday, November 10th for the final episode of TATW (trailer below) as it is slated to be one hell of a show including special guest appearances by Mat Zo, Andrew Bayer, Norin & Rad and Jody Wisternoff and stay tuned for more info regarding the future of the trance legends known as Above & Beyond.

Above & Beyond – On My Way To Heaven [VIDEO]

After being told that the lyrics to “On My Way To Heaven” sounded like a Shakespeare soliloquy, Above and Beyond decided to take it a step further and base the official music video around this very theme. The legendary group that is Above and Beyond has put out an amazing work of art to another one of a kind production. This could be my personal favorite new track from the group after a Thing Called Love. ”On My Way To Heaven” (feat. Richard Bedford) is the latest single to be released of of Above & Beyond’s esteemed Group Therapy album. It has been featured in most of their sets during the North American Tour and now it is finally available for purchase. Also be sure to check out this remix from Lenno, the up and coming 17 year old prodigy. ENJOY!!

Looking for a wild pre-game to kickstart your Ultra weekend? The Anjunabeat crew is taking over Group Therapy Miami with Above  & Beyond, Arty, Mat Zo, Jaytech and Boom Jinx. These trance heads are sure to put on an epic show, so if your in Miami be sure to get tickets HERE. We at BleedHouse are big fans of the Anjunabeats producers; each of them have really made/are beginning to make their mark on the EDM scene.

Above & Beyond have been killing it on tour lately and we were lucky enough to catch them at club “Necto” in Ann Arbor. You can check out the recap of that night on our Facebook Page. Arty has been putting out fire with his newest remix to “Walking Alone” and appearances at Pacha NYC + an upcoming appearance with Cazzette at Glo. But in my opinion, the DJ with the most potential from Anjunabeats has to be Mat Zo.  With his newly released diverse four-track ‘The Bipolar EP‘  , the rising star Mat Zo is embarking on his biggest tour of North America yet. His upcoming tour dates around North America include: February 24 Chicago, IL @ Sound-BarFebruary 25 San Diego, CA @ Voyeur and March 22 Miami, FL @ Bayfront Park AmphitheaterSo if you really want to see the talented Anjunabeat DJ’s, you have got to get your tickets to Group Therapy in Miami.
