Alesso’s Uprising: NYE @ Pier 94 New York [Review]

That time of year where everyone has their night decided over months in advance, or is scrambling for last minute plans, New Year’s Eve is always a special time for nightlife around the globe. Here in New York, we had the pleasure of attending one of NYC’s best venues in Pier 94 for Alesso’s Uprising Tour.  Accompanying the head honcho were performances by Don Dibalo, Deniz Koyu and Clockwork. When one of dance music’s biggest names takes on the big apple you know you’re in for a treat.

Alesso: Uprising @ Pier 94 NYC for NYE (12.31.13) [Event]

20131227-185317.jpgIf you’ve purchased a ticket to Pier 94′s New Year’s Eve special, you are in for a big treat. With Avicii and Afrojack ringing in 2012 and 2013, respectively, Alesso is here to close out this year and send us in to 2014 on a high note. Alesso won’t be alone, and he will be bringing a long an all-star cast to co-star this production. With Don diablo, Deniz Koyu, and Clockwork on the bill, pier 94 will surely be rocking all night long into the early hours of the morning.

Don Diablo is certainly a name for you to note, as he’s had an excellent second half of 2013 with the very popular Axtone hit ‘Starlight’. The next act, Deniz Koyu, will be playing at his second straight NYE show in NYC, but this time in one of Manhattan’s biggest venues. Playing many times in the Empire State, Koyu is certainly an fan favorite here. Perhaps what mixes this bunch up the most is Clockwork. Known for his extremely creative mashups, Mr. Steinway is one of the more diverse artists out there, and we are hoping to hear some beats associated with his “RL Grime” moniker as well.

As your main headliner for the night, all eyes will be on Alesso when he takes the stage. The “pretty boy” has come along way since pairing up with Sebasitan Ingrosso on the monstrous ‘Calling’, and in just a couple years he’s become the main attraction on NYE in NYC. We’ve been a big supporter of Alessandro since his first Electric Zoo, and he has never disappointed the NY faithful with past mind-blowing performances at EDC and Governor’s Island. Tickets are still available for purchase. Get yours now before it’s too late and hope to see you there!

Alesso @ Ushuaia, Ibiza (08.02.13) [Live Set]

Alesso continues to be one of the most fan favorited DJ’s in dance music today. Its been quite a summer for the Swede as he is coming off an impressive Tomorrowland 2013 performance and most recently has uploaded his set from Ushuaia in Ibiza this past week. One of the highlights in this live set is the premier of his newest collabo with Calvin Harris entitled “Under Control” which you can hear at about 23:30 below. The stunning vocals by Theo Hurts could very well turn this upcoming single into yet another Alesso summer anthem. Stay tuned for more info on “Under Control” and enjoy the live set below.

Alesso vs OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself (Alesso Remix) [Release]

alesso-vs-onerepublic-if-i-lose-myself-alesso-remix-refuneWhere in the world has Alesso been? Since “Clash” and a remix to Arty’s “When I See You” was released back in December, Sweden’s rising star has been quiet with his production as of late. Well, he finally returned to North America this past weekend playing at both days of Swedish House Mafia’s Masquerade Motel in Los Angeles, and following WMC, the “Pretty Boy” will be starting his North American Tour in April. This remix comes as no surprise, as he has a history of putting his spin on tracks with moving vocals, along with familiar progressive sounds to create a spring anthem. This is the perfect tune coming off of Alesso’s first UMF performance so be sure to catch it on BeatPort and enjoy!

Alesso – Years (Hard Rock Sofa Remix) [Release]

Years-Hard-Rock-Sofa-RemixRecently showcased as the soundtrack to the UMF Phase 2 video, “Years” was one of the tracks that heavily contributed to the explosion of Alesso. The young Swede has showed this Russian duo a lot of love constantly inserting “Here We Go” and “Quasar” into his sets. Perhaps it was time to return the favor, as Hard Rock Sofa takes on the challenge of successfully remixing one of the more popular songs in the EDM world to date. This banger is up right your alley if you are a house head. Let us know what you think and be sure to grab this tune on Beatport via Refune Records.

Check it out on BeatPort and keep your ears open this weekend at Electric Zoo for this massive tune. ENJOY!!

The artists will be switching venues via Helicopter and you can be sure that NY is in store for something special from these massive producers on Halloween weekend. Details of the event will be announced this week through a series of purposely boggling puzzles, distributed via tweets, hashtags and secret telephone lines – rewarding the most dedicated fans with precious information, including presale codes, prior to the public ticket sale which will be this Friday August 24th. Alesso feat. Matthew Koma – Years (Vocal Extended Mix) [RELEASE]

After countless months of hearing it played in live sets from Alesso, Ingrosso, SHM and more, we finally have the official release of Alesso’s new track via Refune Records titled “Years.” It seems like the Swedish producer’s favorite time of the year is Summer as he always puts out massive anthems for us to dance to. The diverse synths and chord progressions mixed with vocals from Matthew Koma are what make this track as good as it is. Stay tuned for some more Summer anthems from Alesso as he still has yet to release the upcoming collabo with Dirty South in “City of Dreams” and his own original banger in “Clash”

Years (Vocal Extended Mix) - Alesso, Matthew Koma

Alesso – Clash (Original Mix) [PREVIEW]

After one hell of a birthday weekend celebrated at Governors Island NY and XS Vegas, parties with Alesso are becoming THE go to events of the year. Now I know most of the critics out there (myself included) have been hard on Alesso for producing all too similar music, but his newest production “Clash” is something different. We have a preview (rip) of his latest track and it is one of the most detailed and impressive tracks I have ever heard from the young gun. We will let you know as soon as there is a possible release date because this rip won’t do the final track any justice. Stay tuned!!

Alesso – Clash (Original Mix)  [PREVIEW]

Dirty South and Alesso – City Of Dreams [PREVIEW]

First things first, Dirty South put on one of the greatest performances I have ever seen yesterday at Electric Daisy Carnival. He used such a wide range of different tracks rather than just replaying the most popular house songs we heard from other artists over the weekend. At some point during his perfect set he found the opportunity to debut his new progressive banger with long time friend Alesso that had performed on that same stage a day earlier. For those of you who are unawake Dirty South and Alesso are known to have a whacky relationship, constantly messing with each other via twitter, but are bros at the end of the day. This track showcases their chemistry and I have really taken to it. Can’t wait for the release!

One Love

Alesso – Clash [PREVIEW]

We have for you today a new preview from Alesso, who has been pretty quite production wise as of late. Ripped from his essential mix is his new hit “Clash.” It amazes me how well Alesso has progressed as a DJ and producer. He has learned so well from the likes of SHM and “Clash” is a testament to that. Filled with heavy basslines and a hard hitting drop, Clash has the potential to be his best track yet. Stay tuned for more info on a possible release date!!

Keane – Silenced By The Night (Alesso Remix) [RELEASE]

I haven’t necessarily been on Alesso’s bandwagon as of late considering he has been putting out more mainstream house, but his new remix to Keane’s “Silenced By The Night” is an exception. First debuted on BBC 1, it looks like we have gotten the first summer anthem from Alesso. This beat is filled with an upbeat melody and feel good house. Although this is the type of music that has gotten us all to love his work, I do think he should start trying to step out of the box a bit for upcoming releases. Let me know what you think!!

Eclipse (Why Am I Doing This) – Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Alesso [PREVIEW]

We first heard this track a few months back during Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Radio show, and have yet to hear any news on its actual release. The collabo from Ingrosso, Alesso, and Angello is a pretty solid track overall. The first drop is my favorite and everything else exemplifies straight electro house. We got our hands of the HQ version a bit early so enjoy and stay tuned for more info on the actual release.

Alesso – Years (Original Mix) [PREVIEW]

After an amazing 2011 to spark his growth, the young swedish prodigy that we all have come to love is back. The Swedish House Mafia who actually happen to be one of the kids biggest supporters dropped Alesso’s upcoming anthem “Years” on this past BBC Radio 1 Show, and we cannot get enough of this massive tune. With previews to “Years” and his new banging collabo with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello “Eclipse” , it is looking more and more like a huge year in store for Alesso and his fans. Be sure to check back with us for the official release!!

Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello & Alesso – Eclipse (Why Am I Doing This?) [PREVIEW]

First played by Ingrosso on his Refune podcast debut, we have for you an exclusive preview to a new collabo by the likes of Alesso, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello. Arguably the biggest names in EDM today come together to give us “Eclipse.” This massive track begins with high pitched synths and kicks into a dark BANGING drop. I’m already in love with this RIP, so be sure to check back with us for more info on its release. ENJOY!!

Eclipse (Why Am I Doing This) RIP - Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello & Alesso

There’s been a buzz about a new ID track played by Alesso at Pacha this past week. Rumor has it that it could be something close to the likes of a “Calling” Part 2  as it follows the same style as his collabo with Ingrosso. It was also played by Ingrosso himself last summer @ Indigo, Collioure in France so we are pretty sure this should be released on his label Refune just like “Calling” was. Be sure to check back for updates on this amazing ID.

As a fan favorite here at bleedhouse, you know that when the young Swede puts anything new out, we will have it for you. Today Alesso finally gives us “Raise Your Head,” off of Refune Records, and his remix to David Guetta’s “Titanium.” You can see how talented this kid is by how diverse yet amazing both of these massive tunes are. He is keeping the roll he was on this summer with tracks like Calling and Heiress of Valentina and does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Keep it up Alesso, were with you all the way! ENJOY!

Alesso – Raise Your Head (PREVIEW)

For those of you that have been checking out Alesso’s tweets today, know that he just revealed a preview of a “trick or track” he calls this one Raise Your Head, and its a fucking bomb, what better way to start off a Halloween weekend then with some new Alesso, the best up and coming artist of the year!! Gotta love this kid he really kills it and this track is extremely funky and worthy of being called a Halloween anthem! Enjoy

Am I really starting mashup wednesdays? Definitely not; but todays been a little slow on new house releases so here are some user submitted mashups that I liked and thought merited a post. First is a nice mashup of Alesso&Ingrosso’s Calling with vocals from John Dahlbacks “Big.” The next is a sick mashups of Mike snows famous silvia and mau5′s cthulhu sleeps. So for all you followers out their who lose countless nights of sleep begging god to put their music on bleedhouse DONT WORRY; Keep submitting and one day you’ll get the honor. Enjoy ;)

Big Calling (Vocal Edit) – (Alex Rahmani Mashup)

Silvia Sleeps (Ken Loi Mashup) - Deadmau5 vs Mike Snow

A new remix from Alesso with a completely new style from his previous releases thus far. Alesso hits us with a soothing/dark type of new song with a scary side to it. The bleedhouse team is filled with BIG Alesso fans and this new track is definitely unique and I actually LOVE what he does with Jasper Forks “River Flows In You.” Let me know how you like it!

River Flows In You (Alesso Remix) – Jasper Forks

After seeing Alesso perform live at electric zoo; it amazed me how he was so above his age when performing. This kid was DJing like he had tons of experience under his belt. This new track by Alesso gives me the same feeling; with Amy Pearson and DEVolution Alesso straight kills it. Feel good? Progressive? House? Banger? All fit the bit for this one. Check it out!!

Good Love (Alesso Remix) - DEVolution

Check out Alesso’s Newest Youtube Vid!

Yup you know the bleed house crew were going nuts for our favorite up-and-coming artist and he knew it! Looks like Alesso and Ingrosso both loved the video, they recently edited our video and made this, and were loving it!!
