Chris Lake @ Pacha NYC (03.22.14) [Event Recap]

It was quite a treat to catch three of my favorite, super talented and super friendly DJ’s at Pacha NYC this past weekend. As part of promoting his new single in North America, Chris Lake took the decks at the legendary NYC megaclub with Moska and Helena. Lake has been up to big things, after completing his “Rising” Tour with TJR, Nom De Strip, and more in fall of 2013, he just released a catchy new single with a music video and another U.S. tour to match, “Helium.” Not to mention the charity event he just performed in California just days before this gig with Nervo, Michael Woods, Funkagenda, and more, to benefit the International Marine Mammal Project.
We kicked off the night with newcomer Moska, who is a Colombian California native who has been rising to fame since his collaboration remix with Tiesto last year.

His electro set featured some crowd favorites like Axwell’s “Nothing But Love” but ranged to more obscure remixes such as one of Fake Blood’s “I Think I Like It” which is an old favorite of mine. Chris Lake played his usual hits, of course his latest production “Helium” and more notably his fresh new remix of Indiana’s “Solo Dancing,” which is a great new tune. He took it deeper with a few tracks such as London Grammar’s “Hey Now” and even back oldschool with Pink Floyd’s “Brick In The Wall.” The night wouldn’t have been complete without a photo with the man himself, and then DJ Helena closed out the night.

Steve Aoki, Chris Lake & Tujamo – Boneless (Unreleased) [Preview]

Aoki first premiered this hard banger on both weekends of UMF 2013 as the opener to his sets. Despite the generic sets he delivered that weekend, this track titled “Boneless” was one that got stuck in my head and has been ringing ever since. Finally it has been confirmed to be a collabo with Chris Lake & Tujamo and we simply can’t get enough. Sounds like it could be a WHO 2.0 from Tujamo.  No word yet on the release but stay tuned for it sometime this month via Dim Mak.

Chris Lake & Michael Woods – Black Thong (Original Mix) [Release]

Chris Lake and Michael Woods are both underrated artists who have mastered the art of creativity in their respective productions. There is a lot of new Electronic music coming out in this day and age and both of these DJ’s have always been able to keep a distance from the mainstream. This collabo titled “Black Thong” will absolutely destroy crowds. This massive tune is just another example of how talented both Michael and Chris Lake are. Enjoy!

Nom De Strip & Peo De Pitte – Big Knobbler / Suplex [RELEASE]

The Scottish electro fien known as Nom De Strip has delivered two gems for us fans via Chris Lake’s: Rising Music Label. First comes the collabo with Swedish producer Peo Pitte titled “Big Knobbler.” This big tune begins with some quick synths and drums and eventually hits with you Nom’s classic electro drop. The next track on the EP titled “Suplex” is a personal favorite and a MUST download if your a fan of massive hard hitting electro. Let me know what you think of both of these hits and ENJOY!!

Chris Lake & Lazy Rich – Stand Alone (Original Mix) [RELEASE]

Chris Lake’s newest track “Stand Alone” debuted on Pete Tong’s essential mix was produced along with one of my new favorite electro house artists, Lazy Rich. This guy is fucking dope! A friend of mine showed me a track of his called “The Chase” and I was blown away. Lazy Rich tends to use a sort of hard electro similar to that of Wolfgang Gartner’s mixed with a lot of wobble, and it sounds amazing. Any artist that partners up with Rich to make a collaboration is a genius because he is about to blow up! Give this new track “Stand Alone” a listen and let me know what you think. This track is straight FIRE, been waiting a while for it, and we got it a little early.

One Love

Happy Thanksgiving to all you BLEEDHOUSE fans. If you had the pleasure of spending the night at one of New York’s many clubs or bars, or even a fucking T.G.I.F Fridays, you can hear that electronic dance music has taken over. Last night was wild and fucking raging. And when I woke up this morning I couldn’t think that there could be anything to make my Thanksgiving break from college any better. I was wrong. Laidback Luke does it again with the release of his remix to Chris Lake’s Sundown. The original is fucking popping and LBL’s is unreal. Check dem out and once again I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving.
