Dillon Francis @ Webster Hall 1.19.13 [Review]
This past weekend, I was lucky enough to catch Dillon Francis perform at his “favorite venue” in NYC at Webster Hall. Dillon and his fans had a blast the last time he checked in, so it wasn’t hard to anticipate another wild night at Webster for the king of Moombah. A majority of the knowledgable fans in attendance made sure to arrive early as miami based production duo known as GTA was set to open. You can expect to hear way more tunes from Dillon as he will be spending the next 2 months in the studio working on his new album.

Calvin’s third studio album entitled “18 Months” has just been released and is already getting massive support from fans all over the world. Even though we have already been bumping the few singles on this album for a while, there are plenty of new tracks that provide a breathe of fresh air from the rest of the crappy electro pop we are used to hearing nowadays. My personal favorite new tune from the album is his collabo with Dillon Francis & Dizzee Rascal. “Here 2 China” features all of the signature melodies from the respective artists and was executed to perfection. After a handful of back and forth tweeting from the prodigy Madeon to our favorite cat loving moombah crazed Dillon Francis, we finally have a full preview to Dillon’s remix of “Finale.” This remix is everything you would come to expect, a hard hitting signature Dillon Francis drop which has been tearing up crowds all over the country. If you have yet to see the man live, I HIGHLY suggest attending one of the shows during his Wet and Reckless tour featuring big names such as Flosstradamus, Clockwork, Baauer and more. FYI this tune was supposed to be out on August 16th but Sony had some technical difficulties with the release. As an emerging Moomba fan, I just would like to say that I kind of have a crush on Dillon Francis. Not just because of his curiously good looks, but also because the guy possesses real talent. This remix consists of crushingly hard bass lines and a dark aura that immediately has me bobbing my head in complete awe. What I like most about Dillon too is that he usually changes up his drop the second time around within his tracks. Make sure you listen to both drops to see what I mean. After seeing this legend at Ultra and witnessing- literally- one of the best sets of my life, I am in utter awe of Mr. Francis, and always look forward to hearing more from him.

Doctor P & Dillon Francis – Music Is Dead [RELEASE]
Dillon Francis is taking all the conventional things we know (or think we know) about moombah and dubstep and twisting all of it. Its come to a point where I cant even tell if I like this new track, all I know is that guys like Dillon, Doctor P, Flux etc. are changing the game and its for the better. Without creative producers like these all we would be hearing is the same old mainstream crap. After much anticipation, we have for you today one of my favorite track and remixes of the year. Flux Pavilions new single “Daydreamer” is as good as it gets. From catchy vocals to a heavy a powerful bassline, Flux really came through with this massive tune. Also included in this package are the remixes from Dillon Francis and Jack Beats. Dillon first premiered his remix at UMF 2012 and we fell in love right away. At this point, anything Dillon puts out is fire and this banging remix is a testament to that. Some Hard Tracks…
For this post, I am including three separate bombs that will draw any bass-lover’s ear. The first track, an LMFAO tune remixed by Audiobot, is a a powerful electro track made for a rave. The second, Enrique Iglesias’s “I Like How It Feels” remixed by Reidiculous, is fairly similar to the first in that it is just as pounding and powerful with a continuous rising build. The third is my personal favorite: a remix by the one and only Moombahton master, Mr. Dillon Francis. The track starts out with an interesting electro-type build up that blows up at 1:17.
