Flux Pavilion – Freeway EP [Release]

Joshua Steele AKA Flux Pavilion has always been apart of dubstep’s avant-garde as he always strives to put out unique and energetic material. The UK legend is back in full force with his brand new EP titld ‘Freeway’. The album kicks off with a fresh collabo featuring Steve Aoki in ‘Steve French’ as they dish out those electro wobbles. The next big collaboration on the album comes with fan favorite Dillon Francis in ‘I’m The One’. This banger is slowly but sure taking over festivals as the two blow up their respective genres with more heavy moombah and dub. ‘Gold Love’ is filled with emotion emulated by the beautiful vocals by Rosie Oddie. ‘Mountains and Molehills’ along with ‘Freeway’ provide a slower pace showing Flux’s diversity. He premiered ‘Freeway’ as the last track in his Electric Zoo 2013 set here in New York and we finally have his finished masterpiece. This album is now available for purchase via iTunes and be sure to catch Flux on his remaining Freeway tour dates in a city near you.

Flux Pavilion & Doctor P @ Electric Zoo NY 2012 [REVIEW]

Flux Pavilion & Doctor P – Live @ Electric Zoo 2012

If your a fan of dubstep, then you must be an even bigger fan of Flux Pavilion and Doctor P. Both of these UK mega producers are well known as the hardest going DJ’s in the dub scene today and after their set at Ultra 2012 I knew to made it a priority to see them perform again, even if that meant skipping out on Knife Party’s set. A few months back we were the first ones to preview Flux’s newest track “Blow The Roof” and once again it tore up the crowd. If I recall correctly, other sightings of “Blow The Roof” at E-Zoo came from Dillon Francis, Zeds Dead (who shadily had an unreal performance), and Datsik.

It never ceases to amaze me how much energy both Flux and the Doctor can bring to their sets and this time they really showed NY something special. They began the set with an ID, then onto Flux’s Bass Cannon which got the mosh pits started in no time. Next came Dismantles “2 in 1″ which brought some moombahcore into a set full of dubstep and trap. Another BIG time track that I cannot get over came from Doctor P and was recently released via Circus Records: “Galaxies and Stars.” This massive beat brought the crowd to its peak and yet again showed why the Doctor and Flux compliment each other so well.

Doctor P wasn’t the only one to play some new bangers. Flux Pavilion previewed his brand new ID with Childish Gambino for the first time ever. This heavy hitter is slated to be released on FP’s upcoming 8 track EP due out in November. More notable hits came from another Circus Records producer in Cookie Monsta with “Yo Mamma’s Ass” and his remix to “Frozen.” In conclusion, this set was arguably one of the best of the weekend and wether you are a newbie or vet when it comes to the art of dubstep, you must force yourself to go through a set with Flux Pavilion and Doctor P. I promise you it will be worth it.

Flux Pavilion – ID [PREVIEW]

Ever since UMF 2012, I have been trying to ID this massive new tune from Flux Pavilion. He dropped in his EDC Vegas set as well so it looks like we will have more info from the man himself soon. It sounds like it could be a possible collaboration with Doctor P but either way this new track could be Flux’s greatest hit since “Bass Cannon” and that is saying a lot! Let me know if you have any info on this upcoming banger and stay tuned for an official preview!

Flux Pavilion set to take on NYC / Standing on a Hill tour with Downlink, Brown & Gammon and more!

One of my favorite producers in the game today, Flux Pavilion is set to take on an epic U.S. tour with special guests Brown & Gammon, Cookie Monsta, Downlink and more. Flux is considered a top tier producer in the Dubstep scene today and what better way to kick it off the tour right here in NYC this Thursday, May 10th at our favorite venue in the Roseland Ballroom. Ever since the releases of “Basson Cannon” and “I Can’t Stop,” it seems like Flux has grown to stardom and this show will show you why. Get your tickets here and, be sure to check out if Flux Pavilion is coming to a city near you.

Flux Pavilion – Daydreamer (Remixes)

After much anticipation, we have for you today one of my favorite track and remixes of the year. Flux Pavilions new single “Daydreamer” is as good as it gets. From catchy vocals to a heavy a powerful bassline, Flux really came through with this massive tune. Also included in this package are the remixes from Dillon Francis and Jack Beats. Dillon first premiered his remix at UMF 2012 and we fell in love right away. At this point, anything Dillon puts out is fire and this banging remix is a testament to that. The final remix I included by Jack Beats is an acidic/funky take on the hit. Let me know which version you prefer and ENJOY!!!

You will be seeing more and more of new Dillon Francis on here after the show he put on in Miami. Our full review coming soon will have the details but he definitely had one of the best sets despite the size of the stage assigned to him. I truly believe he has one of the brightest futures from all the producers today and I cannot wait to see how far he will be come next year. Check out this video we took live of his new remix to Flux Pavilions “Daydreamer.” Stay tuned for the release of both the original and the remixes, you won’t want to miss out on these filthy bangers!!

Flux Pavilion feat Example – Daydreamer [PREVIEW]

Set to be released in April comes Flux Pavilions latest single featuring Example called “Daydreamer.” Feel good dubstep? These vocals along with the powerful drop are a testament to Flux’s amazing talents. There is no wonder why he is considered one of the top dub producers even OVER Skrillex by many of the die hards. Enjoy this sample preview and be sure to check back in for the official release. Also stay tuned for a remix of the track from Dillon Francis. Getting the king of moombah on this track could get VERY interesting.

WOW. Wait till you hear this “Original Don” remix by La Sape, and up and coming duo based in Phoenix. They give you the originals feel then slowly but surely the track builds up to a MASSIVE drop at 3:00. This ones a must download. Trust me when I say that when you hear this drop you may just decide to get up and rave no matter where you are. Its that good. Also added is is a remix they did to Flux’s famous “Bass Cannon,” this dutch remix just shows how diverse the duo can be. ENJOY!

Ladi Dadi (Original Mix) – Steve Aoki, Wynter Gordon - Usually a new Aoki single would never be a bonus rather than a full post but La Sape’s Original Don just hit me too hard. Enjoy this new dub like track off of Aoki’s Wonderland. And for those of you who were wondering, we had to take down his album leak due to his label but dont worry, it will be out in full on Jan 17th.

bleed…. rap?

Yeah thats rightttt. This could be the start of some more rap posts depending on how you guys react to this one. Kanye an Jay-Z’s anticipated “Watch the Throne” album dropped this morning and has been taking over the internet ever since. This one song on the album caught my ear as I was listening; and it turns out that FLUX helped produce! Yeezy then starts to go off at around 2:10. Let me know how you like this one…
