Mat Zo – Lucid Dreams (The M Machine/ilan Bluestone Remixes) [Release]

luciddreams

Shortly after the highly successful release of Mat Zo’s chart topping debut album “Damage Control,” comes his latest single “Lucid Dreams.” The progressive house track comes bundled with an original radio edit, as well as remixes by OWSLA’s The M Machine and Anjunabeats’ ilan Bluestone. This melodic lyrical tune takes us on a journey, much like it’s title insists. The M Machine remix gives off an indie electro pop vibe. Meanwhile, ilan Bluestone transforms this tune to another side of the spectrum by mixing it into a progressive trance beauty, which was already proclaimed “Record Of The Week” by trance legends Above & Beyond on their famed weekly radio show, Group Therapy. Grab the bundle available today on iTunes.

Mat Zo has grown leaps and bounds and still continues to impress the world of dance music with fresh, original productions. Here we see Matan stepping outside of the box to work with hip-hop artist Chuck D (Public Enemy), about which he mentioned to Rolling Stone:

“I’m a massive hip-hop fan, so this was a big moment for me. I’d always wanted to work with a great hip-hop artist, and Chuck D is definitely one of the greatest.”

This beat is certainly funky, unique, and right up Mat Zo’s alley. Blending the genres of electro, progressive and hip-hop, this new release only adds to the diversity Mr. Zohar is known for. “Pyramid Scheme” is officially out on iTunes via Astralwerks.

Mat Zo & Porter Robinson – Easy (Lemaitre Remix) [Preview]

LemaitreMat Zo’s collaboration with Porter Robinson entitled “Easy” quickly climbed the charts as one of the better progressive tracks in the past couple months. So much so that the Norwegian duo known as Lemaitre has taken a particular liking to the track and decided to put their own twist on it. Their version offers a little more pop and is slightly more upbeat than the original and seems to strengthen the tune. The lyrics and melody are still perfectly perserved but the overall track has taken a turn for the better. The release is set for April 14th via Anjunabeats and The Ministry Of Sound.

Get Ready 2 Fly

Here are some big time tracks I thought you all MUST have a listen to. The first is called “Ready 2 Fly” from a new duo out of L.A. Off of Chris Lake’s “Rising”  You’ll have this hard hitting electro drop on replay all day long. The next is from the up and coming star Mat Zo. This song is so fucking detailed and diverse that it will have your mind and body in a loving trance mood. Listen to it in full and you wont be disappointed. Right alongside Mat Zo, is another up and coming prodigy in Pierce Fulton. “Who Wants Spaghetti” is a fun electro tune. With some remarkable remixes in “Dont Be Afraid” and “What Happens in Vegas,” and an appearance at Pacha NY alongside Calvin Harris and Nicky Romero, Fulton seems to be rising quicker than any of us had expected. Last but not least comes Dimitri Vegas & Like Mikes latest production “Momentum.” Clearly the title reflects the track as the melody slowly but surely grows and finally drops into some feel good house. ENJOY!!

Artist Spotlight: MAT ZO

If your a big fan of Trance music, Mat Zo is no stranger to you. The up and comer born in England, became more and more interested in electronic dance music at a very young age. Arty, one of Mat’s closest alliances when it comes to music has come together to give us some real works of art in their trance movement. Here are some tracks from Mat, my favorite being Bipolar. This amazing production follows the title as it begins with a relentless electro feel, it then shifts to a completely different genre as the trance begins to take over. Usually switching genres in the middle of a song isn’t such a good idea; but Mat transitions it so well that you begin to fall in love with the song. The ending goes right back to the electro banging feel hence the title: Bipolar. The next two tracks with Arty are also must downloads for you trance heads as the duo’s powerful and uplifting synths make you want to become a bigger fan of the world of trance. This past year Mat Zo finished #66 in the DJ Mag Poll and I have no doubt his stock will continue to rise as he puts out some of the best music trance has to offer.
