Nicky Romero & Krewella – Legacy [Preview]
Two weekends of Ultra Music Festival were not enough for rising star Nicky Romero, as he was also selected for a double dose of Coachella. Nicky’s collaborations are usually with the elite DJs, such as David Guetta and Fedde Le Grand etc. But his next project will be joined by the streaking dub fan favorites known as Krewella. Made up of three talented artists, Krewella received heavy praise from UMF attendees, and now the Yousaf sisters are pairing their moving vocals with Romero’s signature synths. As you will hear him announce, Nicky played this track for the first time as part of his set from the 1st weekend of Coachella. An official release date is uncertain, so enjoy the preview via our friends over at TSIS, and let’s hope for an imminent release!

Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding – Need Your Love (Nicky Romero Remix) [Release]
Dutch beat-smith, Nicky Romero is making a statement this month as he teases the EDM world with his upcoming releases including his highly anticipated track “Symphonica” , and “Underground.” This new remix of Calvin and Ellie’s track “Need Your Love” seems to give the song somewhat of a club/festival like character it previously lacked. This anthem is now available for purchase on iTunes via Columbia Records.

Nicky Romero – Symphonica [Preview]
Hearing this song for the first time at Electric Zoo this past Labor Day weekend, I was blown away. The young Dutch superstar had found yet another way to master the electro and wobble sound, this time adding in beats you would typically here in a symphony. Its like Nicky has been acting as the conductor, and using the studio as his orchestra. 2012 was a breakthrough year for Nicky, and already scheduled to make a repeat appearance at UMF, 2013 will be no different. Stay tuned for the release of this heavy hitter due on March 25th via Protocol Recordings.

Nicky Romero & Nervo – Like Home [RELEASE]
Right now both Nicky Romero and Nervo are considered big time artists for a majority of house music fans. We have watched Nicky Romero evolve for the past 2 years going from a dutch banging style to more of a progressive feel. As fans we have also observed the growth of our favorite sexy duo NERVO as they take the EDM scene by storm. “Like Home” is the first collaboration between these artists via Protocol Recordings and I’m a big fan of the feel good vibes this track gives off. Let me know what you think and enjoy.

David Guetta & Nicky Romero – Oval [PREVIEW]
Following their extremely successful first single together “Metropolis” Nicky Romero & David Guetta have teamed up yet again to bring us another banger! The popular track has been played for months now by numerous DJ’s and has gained popularity simply as “The new Nicky & Guetta collaboration” has been named “Oval”. it’s not so often that two big name producers team up multiple times in one year, but Romero and Guetta seem to have a certain chemistry and are even beginning to develop their own sound together. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear more collaborative work from them soon. Oval is set to be released in the coming weeks off of Protocol Recordings, stay tuned!

Nicky Romero & Zedd – Human (Original Mix) [RELEASE]
Just hearing that Nicky and Zedd put out a track together was enough satisfaction for me, what a perfect combination of producers. Their styles and use of base is very similar in many of their solo tracks so they were able to perfect it with ease, and manipulate it in a unique way for this collaboration. And what a wild track it is, but of course thats to be expected when you put these two heavy hitting electro junkies in the same studio. Zedd in particular has been on a rampage lately putting together a massive EP for his track “Spectrum” and now this collaboration with Nicky Romero, really puts him on top of the charts this week. These two still have long music making careers ahead of them and I’m sure this isn’t the last time they will collaborate on a track together.

Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero – Sparks [RELEASE]
What a combination of talent on this track, young blood Nicky Romero teaming up with the house veteran Fedde Le Grand. This new collaboration by the two showcases both their talents and strengths equally, utilizing Nicky’s ability to produce a powerful drop, as well as Fedde’s ability to produce extremely melodic and catchy beats and build ups. These days there is no telling which artists will jump on a track together, but only good seems to come out of it. Loving this track, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear more productions come out of this duo sometime soon, as they seem to accentuate each other’s strengths amazingly!

David Guetta ft. Nicky Romero – Metropolis [RELEASE]
Even though I strongly dislike Guetta’s disloyal move from house music to pop, I must commend the man he knows who to produce with, and once in a while can kick out a couple of sick tracks. This is his new collaboration with Nicky Romero called Metropolis, it was originally debuted in Albany on February 2nd and is a mouthwatering banger! This beat is massive and will definitely help out Guetta’s street cred in the househead community this year. In regards to Nicky, when the fuck does this kid ever make a track that is anything less than perfect? We knew he was going to be a star and is definitely on his way there. There is no doubt in my mind this is going to be one of the anthems of this year; And after some troubles on BeatPort yesterday, we have finally gotten our hands on this beauty.ENJOY!!

Nicky Romero – Toulouse (Tommy Trash Remix) [RELEASE]
The Australian born producer, Tommy Trash never ceases to impress. Tommy has already established himself as a staple in the house music industry and will shatter any track that comes in his path with his trademarked sharp synth and banging electro. Definitely one of my favorite artists today and I am counting down the days till I see him preform in Miami. This is Tommy’s take on Nicky Romero’s epic “Toulouse” this track will have you shaking!! Every single beat or preview of Nicky’s has been top notch stuff. As he continues to grow you can’t help but wonder where he will eventually rank in terms of elite DJ status. Wild One Two – Jack Back Ft. David Guetta, Nicky Romero, & Sia [RELEASE]
Theres a lot of people collaborating on this track, and I gotta tell you that I wouldn’t have guessed it was any of them off the top of my head. This production is extremely funky, I love the lyrics and the progressive flow, it’s so unlike Nicky Romero to produce a song like this one but it has a crazy amount of flavor and different sounds, which i’m sure all of these producers contributed to. Nicky has really blown up this past year and has become one of the biggest names in house music, by putting out tons of epic bangers, theres no telling what to expect from him. Give this new release a listen let us know what you think!
BONUS : Stronger (What Doesnt Kill You) (Nicky Romero Remix) -Now this is a classic Nicky track, he turns this whack pop song and turns it into a certified banger.

FREE 2012 Goodies: FEDDE LE GRAND & NICKY ROMERO – SLACKING / FREAKY
Ever since Nicky Romero remixed Fedde le Grand’s “Rockin High”all the way back in 2010, the two seemed to have an undeniable chemistry. Their music just meshes so well because of there similarities and ability to perfect one another. In honor of the new year the two have decided to give us the fans two free downloads in “Slacking” and “Freaky.” My personal favorite from the two has to be Slacking. Avicii & Nicky Romero – Fuck School (RIP)
Hands down Avicii kills it. If you ask anyone if they know about house music or techno or electronic or any fucking name you wanna call it people respond: Yeah….Avicii. Avicii is a name, a metaphor, a verb, I even heard rumors that their has been a new medical procedure named Avicii. His presence is spreading everywhere. Now we find him paired up with a famous but not as well known DJ and producer, Nicky Romero. This guy hails all the way from the Netherlands and has literally been killing shit since he was taken up by Spinnin’ Records. You can definitely hear his influence on this track. This is the most up to date and high quality version of the previewed track that was initially labeled ID. It basically sounds like an instrumental waiting for some dope lyrics to be laid on it but until then enjoy this new shit…Avicii.
