Electric Daisy Carnival New York 2014 Lineup Revealed [News]

Less than an hour after Mysteryland uncovered the blanket, the lineup for EDC New York was revealed to the public. With even bigger names this year, EDC is making all efforts to trump Electric Zoo as the top festival in the tri-state area. While the zoo has some time to recruit, let’s break down what Insomniac Events has in store for Memorial Day weekend.

There are many familiar names in this year’s group. Superstars Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, and Steve Angello continue to remain faithful since the first edition back in 2012. And while those are some heavy hitters, Insomniac went above and beyond this year stealing Tiesto, Hardwell, Boys Noize, Krewella, Tommy Trash, and Sander van Doorn from Electric Zoo. We’re not sure as to how they managed to pull this one off, but the Randall’s Island faithful are surely in shock right now. With the move back to MetLife Stadium, and all this new added talent, EDC NY is rivaling Mysteryland USA for this coming Memorial Day Weekend. And as the ticket sales start flying, it’s decision time for all of you festival-goers. What’s it going to be? EDC NY or Mysterland USA?

Exclusive Interview: Sander van Doorn

This past week we had the chance to sit down for an exclusive one on one with none other than Sander van Doorn, before his amazing set @ Bijou Nightclub in Boston. Sander is coming off a huge year with remixes to Inpetto’s “Shhh,” his single “Nothing Inside” with Mayaeni, or his massive collaboration with Julian Jordan in “Kangaroo.” Sander talks to us about all of the above including his newest remix with Julian Jordan for the Halo 4 soundtrack and more. Check out the interview below and stay tuned for more from Sander as he prepares for a big year production and performance wise.

Sander van Doorn & Julian Jordan – Kangaroo (Original Mix) [RELEASE]

Sander van Doorn has fortunately released his newest collaborative gem off his own Doorn Records. This time, veteran and legend teams up with a name that is fairly new to the EDM scene, proving that Mr. Julian Jordan has rising star potential. The track builds up with soft synths and a catchy melody- however, don’t be fooled by the euphoric buildup, because the drop will take you completely by surprise. Electro sounds and warped dubby noises take over, and you can suddenly only hope to see yourself raging to this track at the next rave. Download and enjoy!

Sander Van Doorn feat Mayaeni – Nothing Inside (Remixes) [RELEASE]

This first track is Sander’s club remix to his collaboration with Mayaeni (who’s voice may be better than that of Adele’s) personally it is a little too trancy for my liking but even I can appreciate it’s production and composition. The lyrics, guitar solo and piano could not come together more perfectly, but the drop definitely could…. Thats where Adam F’s Dubstep remix to the track comes in. In my opinion it has everything the club mix was missing, and still incorporates all of components I love in the club mix. So surprisingly enough I would recommend Adam F’s remix first. Let me know what you think.

Sander Van Doorn – Chasin’ [PREVIEW]

2011 was a break out year for Sander Van Doorn who had the EDM world going crazy with his smash “Koko” which could possibly be one of the best party anthems of all time. And just to clarify Van Doorn is the farthest thing from a one hit wonder, which became evident to all house music enthusiasts after he dropped his album ‘Eleve11′ with tracks featuring artists such as Laidback Luke, not to mention his remix of Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night” which was dope as well. So with no further or due please check out a preview of his newest track “Chasin’” set to drop February 27th via Doorn Records.

Who knew Gaga would be so popular amongst DJ’s for a remix??? Today I give you an exclusive remix bundle to Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night.” The winner for the best remix in my opinion has to be either Afrojack or Sander Van Doorn’s. Nick brings his signature dirty dutch feel to the track while Sander gives it a lot of progressive details and yet still manages to keep it banging. Zedd’s remix is solid but too simple for my liking. R3hab is well, r3hab; and I think Dahlback really didn’t do the best he could on this one. Let me know which one you like the best!

Pnau- Unite Us (Tommy Trash Remix) (Preview)

So to be honest I haven’t  liked much of the music being released and previewed this week other than Dada’s Epic Teaser, which I cannot wait for, but the hard hitting Tommy Trash is back with another banger. This year has been a huge success for the electric synth addict, I love everything he’s put out including his remixes and original tracks, he’s really found his niche in the house music world and I cant wait to hear more. Heres a preview to Tommy’s new remix of Pnau’s “Unite Us” Enjoy!

Bonus: For those of you that love your progressive, your gonna love Sander Van Doorn’s new track “What Did I Do”

EAGLES (Original Mix) – SANDER van DOORN

Sander is starting to drop tracks from his new album “Eleve11.” For his new hit, Sander teams up with Adrian Lux to present “Eagles.” This buildup and light vocals really are awesome as Sander really delivers in this progressive track. Let me know how you like it.

Arguably the most popular live DJ of this past year, releasing hita such as his world famous KOKO, as well as his remix of spaceman, by the killers, one of my favorite tracks of all time. Every producer in the game is eager to get on a track with Sander, something about his lively beats makes people wanna rave and never stop jamming, we’ve got a couple Sander tracks for you today, enjoy this first preview of “Whos wearing the cap” with none other than the Laidback Luke, and his popular original mix, “Drink to get Drunk”, sure to be fucking bangers when released!!! I cant wait to see him live!

What a weekend. Almost every DJ killed it at Electric Zoo @Randalls Island NY and bleedhouse has got you covered with a full review! Be sure to download the new live sets and check out their tracklists. My personal favorites were Afrojack, and Alesso this weekend. Who were yours? ENJOY

Has Chuckie been on a run or what? It seems like he has always been up there when talking about the best DJ’s for the past few years and he does not disappoint with his remix of bang it all. Trust me; you will be hearing this banger at your next rave.

Bang It All (Chuckie Remix) – Mastiksoul & Dada feat. Akon & Paul G

Daddyrock (Arty Remix) – Sander Van Doorn – From the start to about 3 min you’ll get a steady house song which then builds a long relaxing buildup and hits you with the hard trippy drop at 5.

Blizzard (Original Mix) – Patrick La Funk & Inpetto

Swanky tunes makes its bleed house appearance with two hits. I felt they deserved a post because both of these songs are big contributors to the progressive house movement and im all for it. Enjoy.

New Philosophy (Swanky Tunes Vocal Remix) – Hard Rock Sofa

The Sound Of The Times (Swanky Tunes Remix) – Robbie Rivera feat. Ana Criado
