Potato Will Eat You, the recent promotional source, music and news outlet for artists such as Skrillex, Diplo, and A-Trak is back with their fifth installment to their “Potato Mix Series”. In this episode the potato hosts Major Lazer’s “Work Out Mix” and oh what a fucking mix it is! Filled with banging, action packed tracks, this mix is sure to get you out of your seat and head to the gym! With an intro from Hulk Hogan and new tracks by artists such as GTA, Major Lazer gets extremely dirty on this one.

Waka Flocka Flame To Collaborate with Skrillex, Diplo, Flosstradamus and more on ‘EDM Rap Album’ [News]
Rapper Waka Flocka Flame, proclaimed himself as “The King of Rap EDM” during an interview with website Hip Hop DX last week. The Atlanta rap star plans to collaborate with artists such as Diplo, Skrillex and Flosstradamus amongst others. After experiencing some EDM during a trip to the South By South West event in Austin, Texas during this past March seems to have had an affect on the hip-hop icon.
“The Southby experience (SXSW), it was all EDM…Trap music. I went down there only for the ultra. That shit was crazy” said Flocka. When asked about his rumored EDM x Rap album, Waka responded by saying “It’s already in the motion. Flosstradamus, Diplo, Skrillex. Some underground people, too. I want to create a name. I’ve been doing it in hip-hop so long.”
It’s not quite clear as to when the so called “EDM Rap album” will be released, what it will be called, or who the proclaimed “underground people” are. However Flocka’s album “Flockaveli 2″ is scheduled to be released on October 5th of this year, no word on whether these EDM collaborations will be featured on it.

Skrillex – The Leaving EP [Release]
Sonny Moore, A.K.A Skrillex, has been making enormous & spontaneous moves in the EDM industry this past year in order to better his musical output, personal career and diversify his productions which all musical enthusiasts can respect. Touring the globe, partnering up with artist, Boys Noize to create the duo known as “Dog Blood”, putting together unforgettable original tracks and EP’s and now the creation of “The Nest”. An online insider group run, and created by OWSLA which allows for more direct access to it’s artists music. Needless to say the man is a musical genius and his uniqueness and musical talent have done the EDM industry well, and are receiving adequate praise. According to Sonny this latest EP, “Leaving” reflects how he has been feeling as of recently and is clearly way more deep and emotional than previous works. Skrill also included the following statement with the release of the EP, where he speaks about “The Nest” and the tracks on the EP, enjoy and let us know what you think!

Every now and then there will be some decent collaboration between a house producer and a rap artist, and very rarely are those those tracks successful, however this collaboration is a completely different story… Beloved rap icon, A$AP Rocky has teamed up with dub legend Skrillex to create this bumping track. A$AP’s lyrics and flow so smoothly over this perfectly engineered beat. This track is absolutely incredible and is set to come off of A$AP’s upcoming album, “Long Live A$AP”.

Now i’m not the biggest Dub fan, but even I can recognize the potential of a collaborative remix by the two biggest names in it’s industry. Skrillex and Nero combined their drum and bass skills to throw a little flavor on this rock song and turned it from an abomination into a banger. Skrill has been on an extremely productive track as of recently, creating his project with Boys Noize, “Dog Blood” and now this somewhat new remix with Dub legend, Nero, theres no telling what’s next on his agenda. This fast paced track is gonna melt your face away so just be prepared….

We have all been hearing various remixes to the insanely popular collabo between Skrillex and Damian Marley known as “Make it Bun Dem.” Although nothing quite captures the essence of Skrillex’s original production, the following remixes come pretty dam close. I picked these as my favorite from what has been released officially and from the remix contest held. Alvin Risk goes hard with his take as he puts together a few different massive drops. The Culprate remix is probably the closest melody wise to the original yet its unique style makes it so enjoyable. The Thomas Budin remix is the most wild and dubby which always sits well with me. Butch Clancy delivers his classic signature on his remix and Comic Strips take will make your head spin. All of these remixes bring the heat and I hope you enjoy them all as much as I do.

Dog Blood A.K.A (Skrillex & Boys Noize)- Next Order / Middle Finger EP [RELEASE]
With the world’s most popular EDM trio know as the Swedish House Mafia calling it quits the industry was left without a collaborative tag team of super producers. Opening up the spot light for a new duo/ group to irrupt, and this new combination of artists currently has the EDM world in shock and awe. Skrillex a pioneer in the genre of dubstep, and Boys Noize a veteran Techno icon combined to bring us a brand new style of EDM and they go by the name of Dog Blood. This funky, sound is definitely an unexpected breath of fresh air in an industry recently flooded with unoriginal, similar sounding tracks and projects. I’m excited to see this duo grow together and see what they bring us in the coming months. Loving this EP give it a listen and let us know what you think. DOG BLOOD!

He has just been crushing the game lately, “Slam The Door” is a chart topper, but that doesn’t stop this kid from producing track after track. What better way to kick off the holiday season with a brand new SKRILLEX EP? Although some of these tracks have already been leaked, you have got to have a listen to his new collabo with Wolfgang called “The Devils Den.” This massive beat puts together Wolfgang and Skrillex’s favorite synths, wobbles and drops. Other notables include “Right on Time” and “Summit.” If your a dubhead like me then this whole EP is a must download. Big things are coming for Skrillex. He will be in NY performing at Pacha, Webster Hall, and Roseland Ballroom this February so be sure to get on your dub game before Skrillex tears down NYC.

Personally I have seen better work from Skrillex and it kind of surprised me that this remix didn’t have a big WOW type drop.
