Electric Daisy Carnival New York 2014 Lineup Revealed [News]

Less than an hour after Mysteryland uncovered the blanket, the lineup for EDC New York was revealed to the public. With even bigger names this year, EDC is making all efforts to trump Electric Zoo as the top festival in the tri-state area. While the zoo has some time to recruit, let’s break down what Insomniac Events has in store for Memorial Day weekend.

There are many familiar names in this year’s group. Superstars Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, and Steve Angello continue to remain faithful since the first edition back in 2012. And while those are some heavy hitters, Insomniac went above and beyond this year stealing Tiesto, Hardwell, Boys Noize, Krewella, Tommy Trash, and Sander van Doorn from Electric Zoo. We’re not sure as to how they managed to pull this one off, but the Randall’s Island faithful are surely in shock right now. With the move back to MetLife Stadium, and all this new added talent, EDC NY is rivaling Mysteryland USA for this coming Memorial Day Weekend. And as the ticket sales start flying, it’s decision time for all of you festival-goers. What’s it going to be? EDC NY or Mysterland USA?

Be sure to peep the essential mix and look out for AN21′s collaboration with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike titled “Rebel” via Size as it is one of the many brand new tunes throughout this mix. The first hour is filled with some banging heavy hitters and the second half contains more of the SHM type anthems we have all gotten used to. Steve Angello & Third Party – Lights (Original Mix) [RELEASE]

Steve Angello has teamed up with fellow Size Records members, Third Party to produce this electro monster of a track entitled “Lights”. The song was debuted during SHM’s performance at The Milton Keys Bowl along with SHM’s hit single “Don’t You Worry Child”. This collaboration comes at a transition period for Steve and stands to prove his dedication to his label and pursuit of success in his solo career despite it coming off of the SHM compilation album titled “Until Now.” Angello managed to incorporate his signature electric guitar like synth with some new school melodic electro. Third Party’s presence is definitely apparent in this track through their somewhat familiar baseline, took quite some time to release this one. Official release date is set for Oct 26th off of BeatPort. ENJOY!

AN21 & Max Vangeli VS. Steve Angello – H8RS (Original Mix) [RELEASE]

Been anticipating the release of this track ever since I heard it debuted on Pete Tong’s Essential mix a couple of weeks ago, and have been listening to rips of it out of pure desperation… Luckily it’s finally here! This track, coming off of An21 and Max Vangeli’s debut album entitled “People Of The Night”. This single is far from the usual progressive production we are used to from this duo, and even that of their mentor and label owner, Steve Angello who seemed to do a little more than just help in producing it… In my own opinion it seems like Angello really took over in the production of this one and  AN21 & Max added a little bit of originality and uniqueness to his hard electro banger. With summer around the corner, tons of Ibiza appearances and festivals around the world it seems like this trio picked the best time to release this one!  Fuck Them H8RS!

Eclipse (Why Am I Doing This) – Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Alesso [PREVIEW]

We first heard this track a few months back during Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Radio show, and have yet to hear any news on its actual release. The collabo from Ingrosso, Alesso, and Angello is a pretty solid track overall. The first drop is my favorite and everything else exemplifies straight electro house. We got our hands of the HQ version a bit early so enjoy and stay tuned for more info on the actual release.

I’m already in love with this RIP, so be sure to check back with us for more info on its release. ENJOY!!

Steve Angello – Yeah [SIZE]

With house music’s increasing popularity around the world, it’s no surprise that at times it is mixed and mashed with other popular genres, such as rock. Personally i’m not such a fan of rock n roll but I must admit that when meshed with House music it creates mind-blowing  tracks and drops, such as the crooker’s remix of ACDC’s “Thunderstuck” possibly one of the greatest and most ideal rave songs of all time. Steve Angello seems to have found a similar medium between house and rock in his new track “Yeah” which SHM and Angello have been playing in their sets for quite some time now but never officially released, it is set to drop later this year on Size Records but for now heres the free download. ENJOY!

Nero – Me and You (Steve Angello Remix) (RELEASE)

Are you ready? New Angello, AHH what a breath of fresh air, this track in particular sounds like a mix of  Angello’s unique style composed of synth like drops and massive bass, with a little bit of Daft Punk esc flavor to top it off, its a jam and it’s nice to hear some solo Angello remixes considering that nearly every song he touches now is more of a SHM track than and “Angello” one, loving this one hope you do too enjoy!
