Hakkasan LV & Wet Republic Announce Memorial Day Weekend Lineups [News]
With the Vegas pool party season approaching, Hakkasan Las Vegas and Wet Republic recently announced their Memorial Day lineup and it’s nothing short of incredible. After spending millions of dollars to book these elite DJ’s for residencies (including Deadmau5′s reported 20 million dollar deal), it seems like everything is finally coming together for Hakkasan LV. People across the globe travel to Sin City for this monumental weekend to kick off their sun-filled Summers, and what better way to do so than with the best DJ’s in the world? The party kicks off on Thursday, May 23rd with Laidback Luke at Hakassan followed by R3hab and Tommy Trash at Wet Republic the next day. Talents like Tiesto, Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris are all on board as well, and the almighty fan-favorite Hardwell closes the holiday weekend on Monday the 27th at Hakkasan. Tickets for both event series go on sale Wednesday, April 24th.
Las Vegas’ summer party scene is only getting stronger as the DJ’s flock from Ibiza to the new higher end venues such as Light (by Cirque Du Soleil) and Hakkasan. It looks like Vegas is finally right up there in terms of being the dance music capital of the world. Be sure to grab your tickets ASAP if you plan on beging in LV this summer!

Sub Focus ft. Alex Clare – Endorphins (Tommy Trash Remix) [Preview]
Tommy Trash has had a busy few weeks, releasing his and Sebastin Ingrosso vocal mix of “Reload” on Pete Tong’s essential mix and now his remix of Sub Focus featuring Alex Clare – “Endorphins” that was premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard show. The Trash man does not disappointment with this remix making Alex Clare’s soothing vocals the centerpiece to this joy-filled, canorous track. As always Tommy delivers with his an unmistakable Trash-tastic electro drop that leave your “Endorphins” tingling. No info on the release date yet so stay tuned.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash ft. John Martin – Reload
You saw all of the snippets of lyrics posted on Twitter and Instagram by Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash throughout the week. Today, Pete Tong gave us the world premiere of the vocal mix of “Reload”, selecting it as his Essential New Tune. An instrumental beat that can stand alone as one of the years biggest anthem, has now been given an extra burst with a familiar voice in John Martin. Stream the track below and check back in on May 14th for the official release via Astralwerks. This will be Ingrosso’s first single since the release of the double platinum smash hit “Don’t You Worry Child” with SHM. Also be sure to stay tuned for a big announcement regarding Ibiza from Sebastian Ingrosso in the coming weeks.

Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do (Remix EP) [Release]
The song that single-handedly turned me on to Tommy Trash back in November 2011, and perhaps his most underrated single, is now being re-edited by the Aussie himself. “Monkey See Monkey Do” portrays the signature Trash sound, and is a banger that will get a crowd pumped up in a matter of seconds. In this re-edit, Tommy keeps that amazing build up into, and then gives an even harder electro drop. This edit, along with remixes from Nom De Strip, Tom Staar, and Zero Hero, has now been released as a package via Mau5trap . Grab it on iTunes and let us know which your prefer!

These past few months A-Trak seems to have been mainly focused on his electro house productions more than anything, however his new EP, Tuna Melt, composed of all sorts of EDM genres serves to rectify his missing presence. This EP has to be one of the most well rounded one’s ever produced, “Landline” a trap collaboration with GTA, and my personal favorite “Disco Nap” featuring Oliver remind us how versatile A-Trak is as a producer. Tommy Trash – Truffle Pig (Original Mix) [RELEASE]
Our favorite Australian EDM rock star is back with another funky tune! Tommy Trash’s new single entitled “Truffle Pig” is set to be released November 6th off of fellow EDM artist, A-Trak’s label ‘Fool’s Gold’. The two collaborated to produce a track that goes by the title “Tuna Melt” that has yet to be release, but will also drop off of ‘Fool’s Gold’. This old-school style track is a lot funkier and more mellow than what we are used to from the electro junky but is sounding excellent even at it’s teaser faze. It seems that Tommy is experimenting with some new sounds and production methods, rather than sticking to one generalized sound we might be used to from him, which is exactly what EDM needs. Loving this one!

The long awaited collaboration between electro fanatic, Tommy Trash and House Music connoisseur, Sebastian Ingrosso has finally arrived! Their joint production has attracted an immense amount of publicity and speculation as it has been plaid out throughout this past summer. Unlike many collaborations this track has been living up to the hype, sounding better and better at every check point, and there have been many… The song was first debuted through a low quality cell phone video of Tommy dropping it at a club and gained momentum as news got out on the collab and now we have the final cut. Tommy Trash & A-Trak – Tuna Melt (Original Mix) [PREVIEW]
We first got word of this upcoming collabo between Tommy Trash and A-Trak a few months back after an exclusive interview with Tommy himself. He couldn’t tell us much about the track except for the name “Tuna Melt.” We now have the preview to this sick tune ripped from Protocol Radio #006 and despite the poor quality, this preview has already exceeded our expectations. You know when TT and A-Trak get in the studio that you can expect some filthy electro and thats exactly what Tuna Melt gives us. Super You & Me @ Governor’s Island (06.16.12) [REVIEW]
This past Saturday we attended Governor’s Island for the first time this year to witness Laidback Luke throw down with his friends at his infamous “Super You & Me” party. Despite the hysteria of the ferry’s the venue proved to be one of the most enjoyable in the NYC area with the amazing nighttime view of the downtown NYC skyline. The tent may have been slightly cramped at some points but the overall production value of the event was excellent.

Our favorite electro aussie is back, this time making his first ever production on A-Trak’s “Fools Gold” record label. This label its ability to put out creative sounds one after the other and Tommy’s remix to Cubic Zirconia’s Darko is just that. From the big build up to the hard hitting electro drop, TT manages to keep his signature while adding some flavor to this remix. After putting out remixes to “In n Out” as well as Deadmau5′s “The Veldt” this new track just adds to Tommy’s highly acclaimed repertoire of productions. Deadmau5 – The Veldt (Tommy Trash Remix) [RELEASE]
Recently Deadmau5 has been producing a number of funky tracks such as Fn Pig, and The Veldt which have caught my ear, as well as other electro music enthusiasts who do not typically seem to take a liking to his type of music. On the other hand Tommy Trash has quickly proven himself in the EDM industry throughout the past two years, releasing banger after banger and quickly rising to become one of the top names in Electro House. His ability to manipulate any track and turn it into a synth-like symphony is absolutely incredible. It only seems fit that the new king of electro take advantage of one of Deadmau5′s recent hits and turn it into a masterpiece. Yes the original was a great track but Tommy seems to have added the extra detail and excitement it required.

Seems to us as though Tommy will never stop impressing us with his ability to take any track and remix it to perfection. Deadmau5 – The Veldt (Tommy Trash Remix) [PREVIEW]
After Deadmau5′s release of “The Veldt,” I found it hard to believe that anyone could top the masterpiece. A long comes our fan favorite Tommy Trash and gives us his electro take to the Veldt and although I can’t say it outdoes the original, it sure as hell comes close. This HQ rip (via house4dj) comes straight from Pete Tong’s essential mix, so we are still waiting for an official preview and release date for the track via Mau5trap Records. Stay tuned!!

For those of you who have previously attended Laidback Luke’s Super You & Me parties, either in Miami or at the occasional one in Ibiza, you know that they are one hell of an event! A superhero themed costume party with performances by Laidback Luke and friends what could be better? This summer Made Events is bringing Laidback Luke’s infamous extravaganza to Governors Island in NYC and Luke is bringing some pretty big name DJ’s to dress up and spin alongside him. This Super You & Me consists of Oliver Twist, Peace Treaty, Datsik, Tommy Trash, and of course Laidback Luke. Personally I’m looking forward to the event on June 16th and hope to see our fans there going bananas! These tickets are a pretty hot commodity so get your tickets fast before they sell out.

The Australian born producer, Tommy Trash never ceases to impress. This year has been unlike any other for the electro-junkie, as he has been putting out massive songs played by nearly every primetime house music DJ in the world. Tommy has already established himself as a staple in the house music industry and will shatter any track that comes in his path with his trademarked sharp synth and banging electro. Definitely one of my favorite artists today and I am counting down the days till I see him preform in Miami. This is Tommy’s take on Nicky Romero’s epic “Toulouse” this track will have you shaking!! Wicked Woman (Tommy Trash Remix) [RELEASE]
Who’s down for some new Tommy Trash? After huge success on Aoki’s “Ladi Dadi,” our favorite electro king is back, this time remixing fRew’s “Wicked Woman.” He maintains his classic signature in this track, and although it might be getting a little played out (reminds me too much of Nicky Romero’s “Generation 303″) I still have to give this one a solid grade. Personally I CANNOT wait to see this legend spin in Miami, but if you dont have the fortune of doing so, be sure to have a listen to his brand new March 2012 Mix. This mix is as filthy as it gets. Every time a track gets really big, our fan favorite Tommy Trash seems to feel the need to give his take on it; And somehow, he never fails to impress! Past remixes from Trash to big time hits include Shave It, Alive, and Antidote. Dating back to this past summer, R3hab and Swanky Tunes “Sending My Love” has remained a huge hit. Today a flurry of remixes have been released including the likes of Afrojack, Hard Rock Sofa, Kaskade, Tommy Trash, and Cazzette. Although Afrojack’s is more of an edit than a remix, I prefer his over the others. Hard Rock Sofa also kills it and I think Kaskade and Tommy Trash could have both done better, their remixes were not up to par im my opinion. Let me know which one you like the best! ENJOY!
